Hi Folks, I'm having a hard time trying to do the following: 1. I have a feature class (Trees) related to Stem table (branches). I created the point feature class and table relationship on AGP and then published on AGO. 2. I created views for the Trees (and related table) for the field workers to edit on the field (Big Trees, Old Tres, New Trees.) Created smart forms for the Trees and related tables, with some logic for the fields. 3. My customers required to add some additional fields, to control some codes on the Tree and Stems table. I added the fields on the hosted Feature Layer. 4. I went to Update View on the Feature Layer views. I was able to pull the new fields for the Trees (feature layer) but not for the related table. The new fields just don't show up. How to "trigger" the view for the related table to acknowledge there's a change on the parent related table? One obvious solution is to delete the view and then recreate the view, but I'll loose all the work done on Field Maps smart form.

Although it's an old topic, I wish to contribute in case someone still finds this error: I got the same error message when the fields Editor and EditDate are not part of the View definition. Because the view needs to trigger update to these fields, you always need to include them on the view definition. If you don't you receive this error message. Milton

@KatelynThompson, Yes, I checked the demo site and tried the new design with my own datasets. Other cool feature is the new way to show all the layers from a single map service. Now the layers are shown grouped, as should have. This is an excellent added feature. Thanks for you hard work. Milton

Hola Folks, The new full screen items visualization is a great feature. I always thought letting users see the content of the data first before downloading was paramount. With the current small map and almost non usable interface, this purpose was defeated. The other updates are great too and I'm looking forward to start using the new design. Excellent news! Milton

Hola @zkovacs , I agree with you these issues are not resolved on their own. Maybe our comments set in motion modifications to these settings and now are working properly. Anyway, I'm really grateful to the Hub developer team for their excellent work developing this platform. As you said, the new coming updates looks great and let's hope everything will roll out fine. Hey @zkovacs , I just checked my website and now it seems to accept the GA code and NOW is allowing me to modify and save the Privacy notice and link. It seems everything is working now and I didn't do anything at all. I'll keep an eye on my site. You can see it live here: https://strimaps.si.edu I hope yours is fixed by now. Milton

I can confirm the new update broke the GA settings; no matter what you put in there and save, it disappears after saving and publishing the draft. Other thing is I can't modify the Custom Usage Disclaimer and the Privacy Policy Link is not honored as well. Milton

Hi folks, One important piece of information for me is how many times an item has been downloaded. When you search for an item, Portal for ArcGIS returns, along with descriptive texts, the Ratings, Comments and Views. Is there a way to modify the results adding the option for "x Downloads"? I mean, somewhere within Portal should be a counter of how many times an item has been downloaded and then put this number on the results window. Anyone has an idea on how to do this? Thanks! MJ

The issue was a bug in Portal 10.3.1, it was correctly fixed at 10.4.

Just to clarify; a self-signed certificate IS enough to configure a federated server. ESRI recommends it but is not mandatory. I configured my own federated server using self-signed certificates. The problem aroused from the machine name not from the certificate itself. I wanted to clarify this so others can continue working using self-signed certificates for testing environments. -MJ

Hi all, I had all these issues with federating my ArcGIS servers. The solution for me was to use the machine name on my ArcGIS Server and not the webserver name. For example, my webserver was: maps.domain.com and the machine name was svr01-maps.mef.gob, so instead for writing maps.domain.com:6443/arcgis, I used svr01-maps.mef.gob:6443/arcgis and it worked and keeps working fine. Just my two cents. -MJ

Hilde, I tried to reproduce the bug/issue on my own Portal for ArcGIS installation (10.3.1) but didn't find any bug/issues, just normal operation. 1. Loaded a simple webmap into the Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS 2. Leave everything to default 3. Clicked in Legend button first; all ok 4. Clicked in Layer List button; all ok Just as Derek pointed out, you should look for ESRI Tech Support because it seems something related to your installation.

Just as Kyle mentioned, you should deploy TWO separate webadaptors: one for ArcGIS and one for PORTAL and the URL's for each service should reflect that: https://MachineName.domain,com/arcgis - For ArcGIS Rest, webadmin https://MachineName.domain,com/portal/home - For Portal for ArcGIS homepage Cheers, -Milton

Hi Sviva, I noticed the same issues as you when using Internet Explorer; the search text box out of place and some minor but irritating pages decomposition. I found this issue in stackoverflow: html - Internet Explorer 11 disable "display intranet sites in compatibility view" via meta tag not working - Stack Over… After reading it, I noticed the message in IE developer tools; so I went to Compatibility View Settings and uncheck the "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View" and voilá, now the pages render correctly. Try to do that and let us know how it goes. MJ

Michael, First: Have you checked the portal logs file? These logs are located here: /$HOME DIRECTORY$/arcgis/portal/usr/arcgisportal/logs Check those files and try to find any errors, warnings related to the logging event. Second: have you tried using another browser? IE for me is a real pain for testing; try Firefox or Chrome. After following those steps, let us know your findings. -MJ
