I would love it if there were a way to reorder (without deleting) the predefined date ranges in the date selector in Dashboards.
I am a transportation planner for a public transit agency. Currently, I have my predefined dates ranges set to "All" (the entire data set), "April 2023 - Today", and "October 2022 - April 2023", and I have more dates I would like to include going back in time. Our service changes go into effect every 6 months so I would like to continue adding 6 month time periods in chronological order, with the newest one being placed in between "All" and the following date period.
As it is today in Dashboard, when our new service change goes into effect, I would have to delete all of the previous date ranges, add in the new date range, then re-add all of the previously deleted date ranges.
I think it would be helpful to be able to reorder the predefined date ranges so that they don't all need to be deleted to be reorganized.
I agree! I use dashboards for quarterly reporting and it would be great to be able to sort the list easily so that I could have most recent at the top rather than the bottom, and if I need to add historic time periods later on I don't have to build the list from scratch!
Not quite the same thing, but I know folks who still have and use Arc Desktop software version 3.x b/c the updated always seemed to remove really cool functionality.
I'm just imagining that this is going to be One of Those Issues that never gets patched, and causes headaches for everyone it impacts...
Yes, this options needs to be implemented ASAP; if by accident you omit one option and then get back to get it fixed, you have to delete ALL elements to just add on on the right order.
