Hi @DougBrowning , It worked just fine and it did what I needed (see screenshot). I didn't figure out I was able to extract location from the geometry feature.x and feature.y data. Thanks for sharing the code. MS

Hi Folks, I have Location Sharing active with Field Maps and Survey123 app. My users are using a custom webmap I developed to monitor field crew. In a recent followup meeting, they suggested me if the lat/lon position for the last known location can be shown on the popup (see attached). I thought it was a piece of cake to add that info. After looking into the sharing location view, I noticed there's no data for lat/lon positions. All hosted layer contains lat/lon columns, but not the location sharing views. How I can I enable these columns? Any suggestions on how to show these two really important pieces of data for location? Thanks! MJ

Hi @MarkBarker1 , Great tutorials and thanks for sharing these. In the tropics, we fly a lot to supervise tree mortality. Once a month we fly over a dense canopy on Barro Colorado Island. Drone2Map struggles to produce a decent mosaic for the heavy tree canopy. Where Drone2Map falls short, Metashape is a winner with their processing engine. Can you create a tutorial to produce a mosaic with a heavy tropical tree canopy coverage? These are 2 samples of the Barro Colorado Island tree canopy coverage: https://si.maps.arcgis.com/apps/mapviewer/index.html?layers=747ff54aa4e8416a8502e8c992c09e85 https://si.maps.arcgis.com/apps/mapviewer/index.html?layers=157783c2881a41a2bda52de5f4a39a68 These mosaics were made with Metashape. My team is not using Drone2Map because it seems to confuse everything related to tree canopies. If you need, I can share with you all the images used to produce these mosaics. Thanks! MJ

Hi Folks, I support his idea as well; having hundreds of drone imagery in a STAC catalog or individual COG's URLs able to open directly into AGP would be awesome. If QGIS offers it, AGPcan do it better. MJ

Hi Folks, the same over here. Yesterday was a nightmare: I just recently I updated one of our main tree census maps and suddenly my crew reported issues downloading the map. The first thing was: I screwed the map badly. After reviewing all the layers, map, form and whatnot, I realized my map was not the culprit. I tried downloading maps that were working fine and none worked. That was the "aha moment". I contacted ESRI support and after 2 hours answering basic questions (are your layers editable, is your map offline ready, etc.) I was notified about the INC-001547 with AGOL. Today we still can't take maps offline. I have my crew waiting for this issue to resolve. Mjss

Folks, I just noticed too KML is not available in the list of download formats. Our users like to use KML format because GE is a very light client for quick visualizations, so this format is a must for my users. Please, guys, can you bring back this format in the list of available download options? Thanks, Milton

Folks, This is a basic functionality all database system should provide: lists change over time. Why do we need to setup python scripts to do something that should be available out of the box? Sorry for the third party developers who offer this functionality as a "pro" option. MS

Folks, I support this idea too. In our organization we have temporal students coming and going; sometimes for a few months, others for half a year and we tend to forget about disabling the accounts once their time is over. A script going through the accounts and finding those not active for the last 6 months works but we need to make sure these accounts belong to a temporary student before disabling it. Setting an expiration date would be great. This expiration should give two options: delete account and their content or just disable it. If not built into AGOL, we can setup scripts to look for expiration dates on the accounts and report those accounts to the admins for information. Thanks! MS

Folks, Although, it is an old thread, I would recommend use views to define field availability on the map used for the dashboard. On the view definition, you can remove not needed fields and when extracting the data, it will show only the fields available on the view definition. Milton

Hi @ThomasHervey1 , This is an old announcement and probably you forgot about it, but I'm trying to figure out how the items' source are coming from. This is my situation: I published datasets built by other people. When I published this datasets, I appear as the default contact for the datasets. See for example this dataset: https://stridata-si.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/989e6e9f80564319be8fa6ab66ffebbd_0/ I went to (per the Hub's documentation): Overview > Citation > Citation Contacts > Organization Overview > Resource Info > Resource Contact > Organization Name And changed the values there to acknowledge the creators for the datasets. After refreshing the metadata, double check that the values are written into, I don't see any changes on my Hub page. I'm still appearing as the Contact point. Is there another way to make these changes happen? Am I missing something? Thanks!

I was going crazy with my maps that were working just fine. The same error as OP and I found one layer with the "-" on the index name, created by Experience Builder widget. After removing the layer from the map, the map started to work just fine as before. So, the big question is: when are you going to stop Experience Builder making those indexes names that are preventing taking offline the maps? MJ

Team, I agree this functionality is a must to have, implemented exactly as Story maps did. I have a dashboard showing different variables like temperature, precipitation, wind, etc., coming from different stations on a map. I need to turn off/on the layers on the map when the users change to another page within the dashboard in order to see the graphs that applies to those stations. Without this capability, I need to create separate maps for each Stations to show (Temperature stations, Precipitation Station, Solar radiation stations, etc.), making more difficult to maintain the overall project. Thanks!

Yes, For some webmaps, I just collapse the formInfo tags, copy this particular section only and paste it into another webmap and start editing from there, leaving everything else as it is. I think the tool allows you to copy/paste whatever json tags you need. Obviously, you need to be aware of the opening/closing parentheses. It takes a little practice but once learned, it's really helpful. Good luck! MJ

@Tiff, If I need to replace a hosted feature layer in a webmap where all the popups, forms, defined editing-rules are already present, I do the following (understanding the new hosted feature layer contains the same attributes as the old one, except is a new geographic view or query): Create a copy of your "original" webmap. The copy will be replaced with the new hosted feature layer (the view). Annotate the URL for the new hosted feature layer you need to replace. Usually is in the form of "https://services2.arcgis.com/HRY6x9wt5qjGnAA9/arcgis/rest/services/View_Tree_Census_Liana_view/FeatureServer/0". You'll replace the old URL one with the new one. Open the Agol assistant. Load the copied target webmap and select the option "View and item JSON" The window with the webmap content will have two sections: description and data. Search on the data section for the "operationalLayers" tag. This tag contains all the hosted feature layers present in the current webmap. Search the hosted feature layer you'll like to replace. You'll notice it contains all the webmap definitions, like formInfo, showLabels, layerDefinition, popupInfo, etc. Replace the old URL tag section with the new one you have. Save the Json definition. Open the saved webmap on the mapviewer or Field Maps and you'll have the new feature class with all the layer definitions correctly applied. Hope this helps, Cheers, MJ
