I've been trying out the 'custom terms of use' functionality on the Settings page, but when I go to save it it says an error occurred (see below). This is the only thing I've changed on the page. Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug? Many thanks in advance Colin

Hi Zhifang, To be 100% honest I'm not sure if I does make sense to me anymore 🙂 I have a public survey which will be used by people in the UK (so needs a dd/mm/yyyy type date format). My my profile's date settings are for Great Britain, as is my organisation's (see below), and my browser is set up for English (United Kingdom), but the question in the web version of the survey still displays as m/d/yy. This is the case if I log in using my AGOL account or I do it as a member of the public would (i.e. without signing in at all). I've tried James' suggestion above and that fixes it if I change it to French (the calendar control is obviously in French though), but if I put in 'English (en_GB)' it won't recognise it. I don't know if this is related to this bug or another bug - or if I'm just being stupid and doing something wrong! If there's a way for me to fix it though that would be amazing. Thanks again Col

Hi James, Many thanks for this. I’ve given it a go, but it says ‘The follow following language declarations do not contain valid machine-readable codes: English (en_GB).’ I've tried it with French and it works fine though. Is en_GB perhaps not supported or am I doing something wrong?

Just to say that it would be extremely useful if this bug got fixed. We're working on surveys for use by the general public and we're having to use three fields - a separate one for date, month and year - to get around it. It's not a great fix but the alternative is to have something that confuses our users and could lead to incorrect data being entered/collected. Also, the synopsis of the bug above seems to suggest the issue is around submitted responses in the attribute table being in US format. The main issue (assuming they are the same bug) is that the Survey123 web form asks for and displays the date in US format even though an organisation's settings are set to GB format.

I want to use the custom HTML/CSS header option to make some small cosmetic changes to my site's header, but when I do I've noticed it changes the behaviour of the navbar menu on smaller screens/devices. When using the out-of-the-box 'prominent' header option the menu appears as a single option at the top of the screen when viewed on small screen. Clicking on the menu opens it up with all the link items listed beneath and it is visible all the time. However when you switch to the custom HTML/CSS header option the menu you effectively get the expanded menu all the time (although it is only visible at the top of the page or if you scroll up). When it is visible it takes up a lot of screen space - especially if you have lots of links in your menu. Is there anyway to get the default behaviour when using the custom option?

Hi Brandon, I didn't know about this and but it's super useful. Sadly it doesn't solve my original issue so I've created a new idea (with a description of an example). Be able to position the repeat navbar at the top of the repeat section Many thanks for all your help Col

Be able to position the navigation bar for repeats (the one with +, <, > and delete buttons) at the top of the repeat section as well as the bottom (as is currently the case). In some scenarios (see images attached) a form would be much more intuitive/easy to use if the bar was located at the top of the repeat section. Example: The first image shows a repeat-within-a-repeat using the current setup where the bar sits at the bottom of the repeat sections. The general flow of a Survey123 form is from top to bottom, but when the user in this example arrives at the repeat they must usually go to the bottom of the form (1) then up (2) then up further (3) before working down through the fields to repeat the process. It would be much better if (as shown in the mocked-up second image) they started at the top of the section (1) then went down slightly (2) then continued working down the fields (3) before taking a single big movement back to the top of the page to repeat the process.

I have a feeling this isn't possible, but just in case... Is there any way of moving the navigation bar for repeats (the one with the +, <, > and bin icon) from the bottom of the repeat section to the top? I have a form with a repeat within a repeat and the natural flow of the user in this case is from the top of the form downwards, but instead they have to go from the bottom up and it's not as intuitive. If it isn't possible I will maybe post it as an idea. Thanks in advance.

I have a survey where a fieldworker needs to go to a site and survey 10 quadrats within that site. On my form I have a repeat for the quadrat information limited to 10 repeats. The fieldworker needs to record which quadrat of the 10 they are working on, but rather than entering a number themselves I was wondering if it was possible to extract the repeat number (as show the bottom of the repeat - e.g. 2 of 10) and feed it into a field? At the moment my users are a bit confused as to they must enter a quadrat number when as far as they're concerned it's effectively already shown on the form.

Thanks both, that's really helpful. I've voted up your idea Sun and posted a screenshot to illustrate one of the examples we have.

This would be a really helpful addition as we have similar issues. The below is one example as viewed on a tablet (copied into the Image-map sample). As you can see there's lots of blank space a around the actual SVG.

This is a great feature - so useful. Is there any way of altering the dimensions of an image-map question? If you have a relatively short and wide image/SVG you get a lot of grey space above and below it, which means extra unnecessary scrolling, plus it looks a bit odd to the user.

Hi Jim, Just to add that this would be really useful for a number of public facing surveys that we have created, especially in combination with this proposed enhancement. Basically whenever your working with the public you want to make the process as easy and error-proof as possible.
