Through the Properties dialog of any (file/personal geodatabase) feature class I can add an attribute index using the OBJECTID field. I need a script to check the attribute indexes of every feature class in a geodatabase, to delete or create the indexes to fit my needs. I've used the ListIndexes arcpy function but it lists not only attribute indexes but also spatial indexes. I'm a bit lost with this as I'm relatively new using geometric networks. And right now I only have access to an ArcGIS Desktop Basic license so I cannot test anything. But still I'm trying to figure out how to do some tasks anyway. I would like to check the areas in my water network where customers would not have water service because the mains are not connected to a well. How should I do this? Should I define my wells feature class as a source and run the Connection Checker tool? As simple as that? Would that highlight all mains not connected to a well? I've been having some trouble navigating my maps in Excel. Almost anything I do freezes the map for 10-15 seconds or even more. I think it has to do with my graphic card specs because yesterday I tested my Excel spreadsheets in another pc with the same specifications except for the graphic card and it worked great. I did the test with and without enabling the hardware acceleration. For my regular pc when enabling hardware acceleration my features will not even show in the map. With the pc I made the test yesterday, drawing and navigating performance were good with and without hardware acceleration. I need to know the minimal specs for a graphic card so that I can replace mine with a good but cheap one. Any help is welcome. I'm trying to understand the reports on credits use in my trial subscription satus page. I haven't accessed my account in the last 6 days, so I expected to find a horizontal straight line chart for my features storage, but it's not like that at all. The line is fluctuating and it says the features stored yesterday were zero. It even shows tomorrow's storage. Does that have sense? I've also been checking the total feature services GB stored in my subscription and it doesn't fit the total GB storage shown in the status page. In 12 days I've published some 500Mb feature services but it says it's 1,65GB for this time range. Also, for the time ranges "last 30 days" and "the current month" the storage stated is different. I don't want other users to be able to modify or delete a filter I have created in my maps. How can I do that? I haven't found a way to do it so far. Also, I don't want them to be able to find the feature services I used to create my maps, because I can't filter data in feature services and I don't want every user to see all the features in my feature services. Each user will have a number of maps available, each with different data based on the same feature service. Is that possible or should I create separate feature services instead of creating filters for a same service? ... View more

Is the size of an AGOL hosted feature service dependant on the number of features in it or its extent? The credits estimator stands that the average size used in this calculation is 1.5MB per feature service, but what would that service contain? I have a development created using version 9 NET libraries and now I'm using it to access a version 10 SDE database. It doesn't seem to work and it reports an error when trying to access the database. I must change the symbology of a bunch of layers in an mxd programatically. I have point, line and polygon layers using unique value renderers and class break renderers. The only change needed is the color of the symbol of each unique value/class based on an algorithm, so I've been doing some research to see whether it is likely to make changes to a created renderer without having to extract all its propierties to create it again.
