Hello, We noticed a very high CPU utilization of our WebApp built with ESRI JS API 3.26 even when non interacting with it. Digging into it, it turns out that we included a custom widget which is an iframe application built with React Nativ making "window.parent.postMessage" call to talk to our WebApp in order to send some information. The problem is that the "esri/geometry/geometryenginewebworker.js" listens to this message as well and do a switch case according to the message sent (case "equals", "disjoint", "within", ...). Of course, as it is not concerned by this message, it goes to the default case which itself post another message "Unrecognised Action" and there we go, we run into infiinite loop : Can it be fixed please ? Any worker around that come to your mind ? Here is a code pen illustrating the problem: https://codepen.io/anon/pen/zMELJK If you remove the postMessage section from the codepen ("window.parent.postMessage("Hello",window.location.origin))", you should see your CPU calming down. Thanks,

Hi Jack, Sorry, I had misunderstood your point. It does return some 404 errors for me as well. It is I believe the normal workflow: I request a tile which does not exist (404 error), resampling is enabled so OK let's resample the previous one ! What I meant on my previous post related to 404 errors, is that when reaching the level for which there were no tiles (in my case level 15) it tried to resample the previous one (14) but as my schema was not a level/2 one, it looked for a wrong tile so it returned 404 error once again and so on even for levels which had tiles. So at the end, I had a blank tile when "overzooming". If you pay attention to the 404 errors I had on my post, it goes from level 15 to 0 but tiles did not exist only at level 15 ! I hope it is clearer but I think you are good !

Hi Jack, On my side 404 error was due to the tiling scheme not following a scale/2 pattern. Once I updated the tiling scheme, it worked. Also, I was using 3.25 JS API. Are you using 4.X by any chance ? Maybe the behavior is different. I never tested on 4.X. Would you have a url to test ? Nicolas

Hello, I noticed that the search widget from JS API 4.8 fails if an integer field with exact search is configured: $ Here is a codepen based on js api sample: Search widget with multiple sources - 4.8 I just modified the search field to an integer one: "MEDHINC_CY". Search for 40421 and I will fail. Thanks

Using ArcGIS JS API 4.8, when I load a webmap and configure a second basemap from a portalItem webmap, I noticed that the thumbnail of the second basemap is not displayed at startup. You need to toogle it once: Demo Using a webpack build, I even do not get the main webmap displayed at start up. I need to toogle several times the widget so that thumbnails get loaded. Any idea ? Thanks !

Playing with the following sample, loading a webMap from a PortalItem id: Load a basic WebMap | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.7 I noticed that a WebMap containing a MapService with custom layers visibility defined in AGOL (overwriting thus the default ones from the service) are not respected using arcgis js api 4.7. Layers visibility configuration is the one of the service and not the one of webmap. I know WebMap is partially supported: WebMap | API Reference | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.7 but even with a map service that has dynamic layers enabled, it is still not respected. Is it a temporary limitation ? Maybe linked to AGOL ? Cheers Nicolas

Hi ! Might be simple but I can't find a way to detect WebGL using a fresh arcgis/cli application. I try to apply the same principle as described in this tutorial: Detect WebGL support | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.7 In this app, I believe it should be handle in AppViewModel but I can't find a way to "catch" the fact the view was rejected. I even tried directly after creating the view in 'onAfterCreate' method of the app View but it still never catch that the view is rejected. Could it be because of the webpack configuration ? Any idea ?! Thanks !
