Hi David van Riel, can you link to a particular item that you've tried enabling FGDB export for? I've checked and found that an FGDB download file was created for an example item, which means that we're handling the setting correctly. Unfortunately this seems like the export option being disabled is caused by ArcGIS Online so you might want to open a support ticket. We adjust our download options based on this setting.

Hi Rob, Thanks for your feedback. Soon we will be working on moving Hub pages out of the documents collection and into the initiatives collection (which will be renamed and include sites and pages). My suggestion is that once we've migrated pages to the initiatives collection that you turn off the visibility for the initiatives collection. That way users cannot see Hub pages under the documents collection (or any other collection unless they search the 'All' collection). There isn't a way to remove hub pages from the catalog entirely. I understand that this isn't completely intuitive, so we also have work planned for the fall to let admins configure what collections appear in the content library search and live search (by toggling on/off collections).

Hi Brett Thome, I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem and that it's intermittent. It seems that there is an issue either linking to or finding the item. When you cannot access the PDF through your gallery, are you able to find and open the PDF using either your site's search or content library?

Hi Laura, I don't believe this is a ghost item. On our end that dataset references a different item, but the slug multi-family-housing-incentive-1 points to the sublayer 6 that has the title 'Multi Family Housing Initiative'. If you think this is a mistake I would recommend you republish that dataset and Hub's index should delete and replace the existing item.

Hi Nina, We're hoping to release a new download UI within the next few weeks. After that, we will evaluate what steps need to be taken to add a cache control mechanism. The likely first step will be to add an option under the more menu '...' when on a dataset's edit route (datasets/:id/edit) to re-cache a download. You can expect to see that feature in the next few weeks. Recent changes in our API has made it easier to control downloads without going through the UI. So, after the re-caching option is in place in the Hub UI, we plan to provide a way for authenticated users to re-cache downloads using our API.

Hi Nicholas Floersch, I'm sorry to hear that you're seeing items that have been removed. First, as of now we do not have a way to hide certain content types in your content library unless you turn on collections in the left sidebar and select 'Data' or 'Apps&Maps'. We're working on moving Hub pages under the sites collection, but for now they're listed under documents. Second, the option in the more menu '...' to check for content updates does not check to see if items have been deleted, only if there are updates to the items in your content library. But this is a good idea and we will try to incorporate it. I see under your site's search that the Hub pages still appear. To be clear this is undesirable because you've removed them from your content library, correct? The pages appear to be active so I want to make sure that they have actually been deleted and not somehow hidden from the content library.

Thanks for the update. I've tested the app on multiple browsers and computers without seeing a loading issue. We'll take a look at the support bug and see if there's an embedding issue on our end.

Hi Anneka France, I don't believe that Hub currently supports embedding Showcase apps and should instead send users to the app on ArcGIS Online using an external link. Just to confirm, when you click and open the app while on your Hub site, do you see the blank page while you're still on the site or are you redirected outside of Hub?

Yes I can delete those items for you. I'm going to check again and see why they may be persisting since both items are indeed in our index. If you have further issues, please reach out to me directly at thervey@esri.com. Thanks, -Thomas

Yes, sector and purpose would likely be different things. Sector is typically for denoting an industry focus. Hub does not have a way to set Region or Sector, but we're considering adding a option to do so. Sector may be set directly from hub as an experimental search feature and not ArcGIS Online, but I am not sure and will need to dig some more. The Region and Sector search facets are currently only experimental facets that exist on hub.arcgis.com, not individual sites. For the time being, we are guiding users to organize their content through organization categories and groups.

Melissa Brooks I believe that Region is an option that Hub gets from your organization, which can be set under <yourHome>/home/organization.html?search=region#settings. Let me know if changing that setting doesn't help. I'll have to get back to you on how to set Sector, since I believe it's an option within Hub. We don't have a UI element to set either of these, but I would love feedback if you have a use for these features within a specific Hub site/initiative. Thanks, -Thomas Hervey

The other item will be deleted. There currently isn't a way for users to manually delete these items, but we're working on making sure our system does this on it's own. We are working on expanding the edit route for items (e.g., /datasets/:id/edit) and will consider adding an option to manually delete the item from the Hub index. Thank you for this feedback. -Thomas

Hi Joey, Thanks for bringing this to our attention and I apologize that you're seeing items that shouldn't exist. We sometimes keep deleted items in Hub after they're deleted in ArcGIS Online. We'll manually deleted these ghost items and are investigating how to better handle deleted items. Please reach out if you have a similar issue again. Thanks, -Thomas
