Hi Derek, Is there a way to clarify this more on WebApp Builder for ArcGIS homepage? I just went through the same experience as Amber, spending about 30 minutes to find the answer. The WebApp Builder for ArcGIS website doesn't seem to really say that you can't build a custom widget and then host it on your ArcGIS Online account. Just to clarify, you need your own web server or own ArcGIS Online Portal? It's ambiguity like this from ESRI as they concentrate on the sales side that really makes it difficult for us day-to-day users. I mean, that question isn't even in the FAQ section of the website! Thanks.

Thanks Katie, I found the section you mentioned. It looks like though it is only giving me the table per each category: analytics, storage, etc. I have to click on each category and then add them up separately to see a snapshot of usage. Plus, it takes 3 click on the pie chart to bring up the member usage table. Is there any way to bring back the member usage table that we had before the update? It was a nice feature because I could log in and see the previous day's usage, or the custom range and then quickly see if any of my members were using a lot of credits. It was fast and easy and a great way to keep an eye on usage in between the monthly reporting that I create for leadership which gives a breakdown of all usage. Thanks!

In ArcGIS Online, as an administrator, we use to be able to view credit usage for all members. This was a useful table that we could scroll through to quickly see how many credits each user in our organization was using. The table seems to have disappeared since the last update. When you click on the "Member" tab you are now forced to select a specific member. Is the usage table gone forever or is it now stored someplace that I cannot find?

I have to agree to all the other members posting to this site. In my organization we still produce "print ready" maps for presentations. In ArcPro there is not a good way to move symbols that overlap each other. It is very bad practice to use the edit tool to move the symbol since it is moving the GPS coordinates also. This means that we need to produce duplicate layers every time we want to change a symbol so that we have an original layer with the correct coordinates, in case we change the map extent. (I have not been able to try the Disperse Maker tool since I do not have the license for it.) Currently, my workflow consists of exporting a finished map from Pro into a PDF and then opening the PDF in Acrobat. I then have to click on every symbol and move it, a tedious task no less! A task that also needs to be repeated every time there is a change in a map. Moving symbols can now take up a couple of hours in my work day.

Yes, this is a very useful function: Complex models are easier to read, diagnose, and understand when printed in "map layout" They really help in meetings with non-gis users, like leadership teams

What is the status of being able to create a new project without having to create a new geodatabase? In my organization we have standard geodatabases that contain commonly used layer files. They are very handy in creating simple workflows and making sure that all analysts are using the same data. Many times we just want to create a new project and connect to an existing geodatabase. When is that feature coming? I like the concept of the project, I think it is a great way to organize several maps and layouts into one area/file, but what happened to the good old days of just being able to start Arc, connect to an existing geodatabase, and get right to work? It is really redundant to have to create a new project, then change the connection to the current geodatabase, then delete the newly created geodatabase and all the other files it created: a folder, a toolbox, ImportLog, Index, etc. I go through more projects than cups of coffee Gibbs drinks in a day

Hi Tania. Yes, I see what you are trying to do and it can be frustrating, if not time consuming! Have you tried using custom layouts? Since all of my maps have some of the same elements: north arrow, header, footer, title, scale bar; I use a custom layout. Create a blank project and a blank map. Insert a new layout with the page size that you need. Add all of the elements that you want to be repeated in new maps. Then, in the Contents pane, right-click the Layout and select Save as Layout. This will create a *.pagx file. When you start a new project, create a map and then under the Insert Ribbon, click on New Layout - Import Layout File. Select your saved *.pagx file and it will import your standard layout with the elements ready to go. Then you will just need to select your current map for the Map Frame and you should be all set. For things like definition queries, you will always need more than one map in a project to break that "live link", or so I think. Hopefully this helps get you to where you want to go!

I use the same workflow as Mervyn Lotter In the Catalog View I double-clicked the Layout folder to open it, then I right-click the layout to select Copy. In the blank space under the layout I right-click and select paste and finally right click on the new layout and select Open. This adds the copied layout to the project, which you can then rename. I am not sure about any "live link". I use multiple layouts in projects to print maps of different geographic areas. The copying of the layouts saves me time by setting up the first layout: the legend, scale, extent, etc., and then duplicating this to the other layouts. For example, I create the first layout of the Madison area, then duplicate the layout to print out areas in the Milwaukee area. You could call it a lazy man's map series Yes though, if I change anything in the Map, it will change on the layouts, but that is what I want.

Thanks Alice, this is a great start! Are there any plans to incorporate the standard 4-digit SIC code into the dataset?

Thanks for trying again Joe, I appreciate enthusiastic community members. The website link does show you the standard SIC code list, but they even admit that it is not the official list. One can obtain the official list from the government through siccode.com, and it is a big Excel file, but after a little formatting, it is quite useful for cross-referencing. However, the attribute data is a 6-digit code that was made by the data provider: InfoUSA, as referenced by the methodology and sources document provided by ESRI. So why am I being so stringent you might ask? It is because I work with exact data, and business decisions are being made from my results. It is the difference of precision and accuracy: I need to be sure of the resources and have to follow specific protocols when using and referencing data. It is why I posted my question here, and didn't just rely on the first Google search return. I know that at the academic level, doing a homework assignment, you can be a little lenient with sources, but after that, you will be expected to know that your data sources are accurate and reliable, there is no more "wiggle room". Hopefully that helps explain things a bit. Thank you again for your help though and hopefully you don't get discouraged with trying to help!

Hi Joe, thank you for the link. However, I need the official list from the actual data provider to be sure the list is accurate and complete. The list also needs to not be in a PDF document

Hello! I am starting to use the Business Analyst data to perform site selections. The Businesses and Facilities layer that I have installed as part of the BA package is a great resource. In the attribute table, there is an SIC code column, but that SIC code is using a 6-digit code, which I assume, is coming from InfoUSA, the source of the data. Where can I find the code list definitions for their 6-digit code? Or can I just take the first 4 digits of the SIC code to reference the government's official SIC listings? Better question, why not just use the standard (official) 4-digit SIC code in the dataset? Here is the scenario: I have a point plotted to produce a drive time / walk time. I then select all the businesses inside that drive time using the Businesses layer. I then want to be able to summarize the businesses using the SIC code at the category and major industry level to get an idea of what type of businesses are in the area. For example: CATEGORY: retail trade; MAJOR INDUSTRY: eating and drinking places; MINOR INDUSTRY: coffee shops Thanks!

Hi Donna Thanks for the response. Is there anyway to create a parent folder for the groups that are automatically created by Business Analyst? My organization creates a lot of projects in BA and we also us AGOL extensively. The groups we use in AGOL are for organization and security, allowing users to view specific groups/content when necessary. My request would be for administrative purposes, to try and control / organize all of these new groups. I treat my file structures like my bookcases, neat and tidy Thanks!

Thanks Shan, but that doesn't really answer my question. So can I just delete these groups that are automatically made by Business Analyst or stop them from being created in the first place?
