This is possible in ArcGIS Pro using grid label tags. For example, this set of tags will pad the degree, minute, and second values of a coordinate with 0s if necessary. <dyn type="grid" units="dms" decimalPlaces="0" showDirections="True" padDegrees="True" padMinutes="True" padSeconds="True" /> You can learn more about grid label tags here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/layouts/grid-label-tags.htm

Hi Caroline, It sounds like you are already following some of the best practices for layout files. Are your layout files on local machines or a shared network? Importing files over a network can be significantly slower, which may account for some of what you are seeing. If you can have people download the files onto their local machines before importing them (especially in older versions of Pro) you may see an improvement. Improvements to layout performance and data connections have been made in recent Pro releases, which is probably why the layout files behave better on newer builds. Cheers, Aubri

If you are symbolizing your data with the Unique Values renderer, the Description property supports multi-line text. However, most other renderers don't have a Description property. You can learn more about Unique Values here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/layer-properties/unique-value.htm

Hi! That's not good at all. There have been a lot of updates to export in recent Pro builds. Can you tell me what build you are using? Also, what is the data source of the layer not exporting (shapefile, feature class, web service?)? You can also reach out directly to Technical Support. They should be able to help you understand the issue, and if there is a bug, they can get it to the dev team.

Hi! If you change the Shape dropdown to Map Series Shape it should show the extent indicator, and update for each page. I hope this helps! Cheers, Aubri

The Save as Default option Tom mentioned for legends also works for table frame fields. It should help the table to look the same, even if you switch maps. You can learn more about it here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/layouts/add-and-modify-table-frame-fields.htm

Hi Damian, Can you tell me what problems you are having with the exported maps? Are they too large? Is the georeferencing incorrect? Something else? Also, are you exporting maps or layouts? Thanks, Aubri

That's not good at all. Line and rectangle graphics from an imported MXD are showing up in my PDF export, could you possibly share your export settings? This is what I was using:

Hi Bethany! Unfortunately, this is a bug in ArcGIS Pro 2.6.3. It should be fixed in the next version of Pro to be released. In the meantime, you can work around the issue by exporting directly from the Python window, or using a general python script. You can open the Python window from the View tab on the ribbon The following code, when pasted into the Python window and run, will export every layout in the project to a PDF file in C:\temp. For map series in the project, only a single page will be exported. ##Export to PDF
aprx = arcpy.mp.ArcGISProject("CURRENT")
aprx.listLayouts()
for lyt in aprx.listLayouts():
#Parameters: output name, resolution, image quality, compress vector graphics, image compression, embed fonts, layer attributes, georeference, jpeg compression, clip to elements, output as image, embed color profile
#Image quality: "BEST", "BETTER", "NORMAL", "FASTER", "FASTEST"
#Image compression: "ADAPTIVE", "DEFLATE", "JPEG", "LZW", "NONE", "RLE"
#Layer attributes: "LAYERS_ONLY", "LAYERS_AND_ATTRIBUTES", "NONE"
lyt.exportToPDF(f"C:\Temp\{lyt.name}.pdf", 150, "BEST", True, "ADAPTIVE", True, "LAYERS_ONLY", True, 80, False, False, False)
print("Done") Examples of how to export the entire map series via Python code can be found here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/arcpy/mapping/mapseries-class.htm I hope this helps. Cheers, Aubri

Hi Ben, My team would like to investigate this. Could you share a style file or a screenshot of the green style properties so we can recreate it and see what's going on? Cheers, Aubri

I think this works as you expect if you uncheck Equal column widths for the legend.
