Hello GIS friends, Good morning! I have a question friends. Every year we collect forest pest (Southern Pine Beetle, Sawfly, etc) data using Field Maps and an eternal GPS (Bad Elf GPS Pro +) connected with Bluetooth to the Field Maps. Our pilots and foresters at the Alabama Forestry Commission do a great job of locating forest pest infested spots from the sky. We appreciate them. However, this year the Bad Elf GPS Pro + is not consistently connecting with the satellite and and as such we are not being able to collect data as efficiently. Does anyone use Bad Elf GPS with Field Maps? Do you know what we are not doing right to get a consistent connection with the GPS? We bought this Bad Elf GPS Pro + for a nominal price, around $150 - $250 if I remember correctly. Do you all have any recommendation for a GPS assuming the Bad Elf GPS may not work. Thank you, Abi

@GoranGobac Makes me wonder what version of ArcGIS Enterprise you are using. I have ArcGIS Enterprise11.1 and just got done installing both the Network Utility Patches: 1. ArcGIS Server 11.1 Utility Network and Data Management Patch 2. ArcGIS Server 11.1 Utility Network and Feature Service Patch This did not resolve it. I will keep trying and inform you. Thank you, Abi

@GoranGobac Thank you for the information. I will work with Esri tech support to see if I can also install Utility Patch 10. I will also go through the other things you mention in your message. I hope it works out for me too. I will let you know. Thank you, Abi

@GoranGobac @that is nice to hear. I didn't understand about the group policy. How is it that the map service has group policy and not the feature service? How can I have the feature service to have group policy so it begins to print. What is the latest Enterprise/Portal Utility Patch? Thank you, Abi

@JemimaLetts If the feature and table you are trying to join are hosted feature service layers it should work unless you are trying to join feature service layers. Makes me wonder what is going on. However, if they are feature service layers then the work around would be to join the feature and the table in ArcGIS Pro (a query layer) and then make a map service out of it to do the mapping. Thank you, Abi

@MarceloMarques We may already be having the Memory Optimized Series. I'm not sure as I do not have access to the VM at the moment. Is there a way I can know what kind of VM we have from the Server machine itself? For our ArcGIS Enterprise Standard right now we are leaning towards the D16_v3 option, but you say that is an old version, right? Thank you, Abi

@MarceloMarquesThank you for your great response. We are looking at these two VMs for replacement. Please see below. We will appreciate your input and breakdown of the specs. What are the major takeaways? The differences. We understand you will not advocate one machine over the other and that is strictly on what the client prefers to have. Why would you choose one over the other? Thank you again and we greatly appreciate you showing interest in helping us out. Abi VMs for an ArcGIS Enterprise Standard license. I'm also working on a new VM and would like to know what would be the right VM for ArcGIS Enterprise Standard. At the moment we have a VM with 1 socket, 8 virtual processors, and 28 GB of RAM. The Server mostly runs at full capacity. The Memory usage is between 86 and 95. The CPU usage is mostly below 30. We get Memory Pressure error and as such are thinking of getting ourselves a new VM. We are looking at a VM with 64 GB of RAM and 16 vCUPs. Do you all have any suggestions?

@Jianxia I have been exploring ExB like the rest, and it appears like we have a long way to go. Keeps me up. Other thing that is very concerning with ExB app is there is no way to open attribute table of a layer by going to the layers' ellipsis - the three dots next to a layer like in WAB. In WAB you can go to the layers' ellipsis and 'View in Attribute Table'. The attribute table offers Options, Filter to do all sorts of querying. This is especially critical/important as it gives an opportunity for an array of query options on all the layers present on the map app to the clients (end users). They are not limited to pre-configured queries only like in ExB. With ExB the developer of the applications make assumptions on what different queries the clients need and accordingly have a pre-configured, limited query options available on the map app for the clients to perform. There has to be much more than that, Please. The query needs to be open like in WAB where the clients can perform ( have the option) whatever query they want to on any layer they want to that is available on the map app. Please make a way for the clients to be able to pick and choose what they want to query from any layers attribute tables like in WAB. Please make the query option open on the map apps so the clients can look up query, export table or filter any layers to print a map. Thank you, Abi
