Hello Dathen, Are you able to update attributes for existing records in Portal webmap? What editing capabilities do you have enabled on the feature service used with Collector? If you want to editing existing records the feature service would need to have the update capability enabled. Editor permissions for feature services—Documentation | ArcGIS Enterprise Thanks Thomas.

Hello Michael, Thanks for the update, it looks like ArcMap doesn't trust the certificate of the ArcGIS Server or Portal you are trying to connect to. Is there any difference in the URL you are using to connect to Portal or ArcGIS Server in ArcMap and the URL you use to access Portal in a browser? Thanks, Thomas.

Hello Michael, I appreciate the screenshot and the additional information. If the hosted feature layer created from the service definition also fails to load, my suspicion is an problem with the service definition. I recommend recreating the service definition with test data. If you have ArcMap installed you should have access to the following file geodatabase. Example File Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.6\TemplateData\TemplateData.gdb What method did you use to create the service definition initially? Thanks, Thomas.

Hello Michael, I just went through the workflow myself. Although the tool prompted me with the same warning the upload went through successfully. Just to double check if click on file is 'Sign Out' and your user name listed? Have you been able to upload or publish a service/service definition to ArcGIS Online successfully before? What is your user type and role in your ArcGIS Online organisation? Thanks, Thomas.

Hello Robert, Does Chrome trust the certificate being used by Portal and the Portal Web Adaptor? Just to confirm this is a CORB issue you may want disable CORB by starting Chrome via command line. Example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-features=CrossSiteDocumentBlockingAlways,CrossSiteDocumentBlockingIfIsolating Thanks, Thomas.

Hello, If you are using Collector 18.1.0 (iOS) or newer I would recommend enabling logging through developer tools. Open Collector and tap on your Username in the top right of the screen. In the drop down menu tap three times on your Username. A 'Developer' option will appear at the bottom of the drop down menu. Tap on 'Developer' and enabled the 'logging' option. Attempt to reproduce the error message and review the logs. If I understand correctly the error messages states that the create replica operation fails. I suggest attempting to perform the create replica operation at REST on the same feature service used in Collector. You can access the create replica operation from the feature service REST endpoint. Example URL: https://<host>/<site>/rest/services/<folder>/<serviceName>/<serviceType>/createReplica ArcGIS RES API - Create Replica If I remembered correctly I've listed the only required fields below with examples. Replica Name: Test Layers: 0 Geometry: geometryType=esriGeometryEnvelope&geometry={xmin: -104, ymin: 35.6, xmax: -94.32, ymax: 41} I hope you find these suggestions helpful. Thanks, Thomas.

Hi Clinton, Are you only prompted with that error when viewing hosted view item details page? Just in case I would recommend re-indexing portal and restarting the portal Windows service. In addition I would suggest temporarily setting Portal logs to 'DEBUG' level. Then attempt to create a new hosted view. Access the item details page of the new hosted view. I would be interested to know if you see any additional error messages in the logs. Thanks, Thomas.

Hello Clinton, Does the URL on the item details page for the hosted view look similar to the hosted feature layer? You may want to take a look at the portal index status from the Portal Admin directory. If there is a difference between 'Count in store' and 'Count in index' I would recommend re-indexing. 1). Navigate to Portal Administrator Directory. Example URL: https://hostname.domain.com/webadaptorname/portaladmin/ 2). Login with you a portal admin account. 3). Navigate to Home > System > Indexer > Resources: Index Status Hope this helps! Thanks, Thomas.

No problem at all happy to help. Let me know how the support case goes. If you are able to provide a Fiddler capture of adding the WMS service to a web map that will definitely help out the analyst. Thanks, Thomas.

Hi Nicole, No problem at all I appreciate the additional information. I've seen users have similar issues in the past. At the moment I'm wondering if you are encountering the same issue. In summary if records were created before editor tracking is enabled the 'modified_by' field may read NULL for these records. Any new records created after editor tracking was enabled will have this field populated. This conflict between NULL and populated records appears to cause issues when editing in Collector. I would recommend reviewing the hosted feature service for any NULL records in the 'modified_by' field. If these records exists enter a value for the NULL field. I hope this helps! Thanks, Thomas.

Hello Dixie, Is the WMS service server on a different network than your Enterprise Deployment? It's possible that the requests made by Portal to the service are being blocked. If that is the case you may need to work with your IT Department to allow access to the WMS service. Outside of portal your network configuration may limit access to resources from outside your internal network. Commonly this might be a firewall or reverse proxy. I would recommend logging into the portal machine under the portal Windows service account. Then try and access the WMS service in a browser. Again if this fails the requests may be being blocked. I've also added some steps below which should help capture additional traffic using Fiddler. Enable Fiddler to view 'HTTPS' traffic: 1). Open Fiddler > Tools > Options. 2). Navigate to the 'HTTPS' tab in the Options window. 3). Check 'Capture HTTPS CONNECTs' and 'Decrypt HTTPS traffic' 4). After clicking 'Decrypt HTTPS traffic' you should be prompted to trust the Fiddler root certificate. 5). Click yes through the follow prompts. If you have the option you may want to create a case with support. They would be able to assist further with troubleshooting the WMS service issues. If you have any additional questions please let me know. I hope this helps! Thanks, Thomas.

Hello Dixie, I was able to successfully add the WMS service to ArcGIS Online and my Portal (10.6.1). So it doesn't look like there is any issue with the WMS service itself. Is this the first time you have attempted to use an external WMS service with your Portal? We would need to take a look at the requests made to the WMS service when you try to add it to the web map. Its possible your Portal may have not network access to resolve the WMS service URL. Do you have any experience using browser developer tools or network capture software such as Fiddler? Thanks, Thomas.

Hi Nicole, Is editor tracking enabled on any feature services used with Collector? Do you know if any if the records in the feature services were created outside of Collector (e.g. ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, Script)? Thanks, Thomas.

Hi Kevin, Just to follow up on Hilary's post, I would recommend temporarily changing the portal logs to 'DEBUG' level. Then start a manual 'sync' from the guest Portal. This should give you the best chance of capturing additional logs. You'll want to change the logs back after the test. As 'DEBUG' level logs can create large log files. Portal Admin Directory > Home > Logs > Settings > Edit > Log Level: DEBUG The first collaboration log messages will likely be something like 'A scheduled collaboration configuration synchronization job has started for collaboration with id:XXXXXXXXXXX'. I would also recommend searching for the item id of the item that fails to 'share a copy'. This should help you find any relevant error messages. It's also possible to view the sync job status from portal sharing REST endpoint. This may also help provide more information on the 'share as copy' failure. Example URL: https://webadaptorhost.domain.com/webadaptorname/sharing/rest Home > Portals > Self > Scroll to the bottom on the page > Collaboration. Click on the relevant collaboration id > Collaboration Workspaces > Click on the relevant collaboration workspace id > Sync Status Hope this helps! Thanks, Thomas.
