Hi @TanithLives , sorry for the delay in this response as I just came across this post. The coded value "3" for these domains (PrecisePositioningService) is indeed what causes these loading errors in Field Maps. Point layers created after the Sept 2025 release should be fixed and not include this unexpected value. For newly created Line and Polygon layers with GNSS metadata, the fix is coming in the next AGOL update within the next couple of days. For any existing layer that is running into this issue, the fix would be to remove the unexpected domain value as you have pointed out.

Gah was hoping that would do the trick. Hopefully Support has some other ideas. I will keep an eye on the open case.

Yes it sounds like you dont have full access to the device files. You may need to toggle some permissions on the device when plugged in to the computer. Look for a notification in your task bar and make sure its set to `USB debugging` and not `Charging`.

If you are savvy with android debugger you can try to connect the device to your computer and do a manual uninstall of Field Maps. I have had an instance where the device was hanging onto files from an old install and this resolved that problem. I ran the following in command line: adb devices ( to list current connected devices) adb uninstall com.esri.fieldmaps (to manually uninstall field maps) Note this will require a PC and install of Android platform tools. I suggest looking up a guide on how to use ADB if you are not familiar.

Hi @AnninaRupe1 , can you try clearing the cache and data for Field Maps? They are both found in the Storage section in App Info. If you had the old map open the last time you used Field Maps, and the map was deleted, I wonder if its still looking for that map and not handling the fact its not there anymore. Clearing the data should remove the reference to that. Also, if you have another account in this org it would be good to confirm if you can log onto that account on this device.

Thanks for those details. About the strange track lines drawing, it can just be a drawing issue. You can try changing the track display filter in the Layers tool for the My tracks layer to force a redraw or swipe away and reload the app. We have seen this correct the issue at times. Can you clarify what you mean by tracks not drawing in real time? Also, are you working in areas of spotty connectivity? If so, I suggest operating in airplane mode if possible and uploading tracks when you return to a strong signal/wifi.

Hey @Curtis , what type of device (and OS version) is being used when this issue occurs? Do the track lines appear normal when viewed in AGOL/Portal, either in Map Viewer or Track Viewer? Can you also confirm the version of Field Maps that is installed? Have you noticed any pattern to when or where this occurs for your field workers? Sharing troubleshooting logs from one of these devices when this occurs would also help. Thanks!

Hello @NicovanEeten , are you publishing the feature services from Pro and creating the maps in ArcGIS Online or are you creating/publishing the Web Maps directly from Pro (via Share > Web Map)? Are you attempting to access the Maps in Field Maps from the same account and, if not, how are you sharing the Maps? What type of layers are in the Map(s)? Please note which version of Field Maps and Pro you are using as well. Thanks!

Hey @Jhuss_EnviroMan , the Layer load failure short put out an error message in Field Maps. If you go to the Layers tool in the Map and tap the overflow menu there should be an option to share out the error. If you dont see anything there you should also check the Troubleshooting logs under your Profile. Can you share any specific error you see with me?

There will be a Field Maps release (25.3) in the first week of December that should have additional improvements in this area. Please check with that version and let us know if its working for you. If not, we may need to get some specifics about your map and setup. Thanks!

Thats interesting. I assume online maps open fine on this device? Do you see this same issue with downloads if using another device? What basemap are you using in these maps? Random thought but make sure you have storage space available on this device to store these maps, especially if taking offline large areas with lots of layers. About the incremental naming, that part is expected even if a download fails. Its to avoid any potential conflicts with names in case you are attempting to take offline multiple areas at a time. I would suggest opening a ticket with Esri Support if you have not already.

@JimMonchak The "X" icon you see is part of the UI when downloading a Map. There should be a circle around it that fills out clockwise as the download progresses. It sounds like you are getting stuck somehow at the initial stages of the download. The download should not be impacted by the Location Provider or Profile you have set up. How long have you waiting to see if the download progresses? Do you see the same problem if you try a pre planned offline area (generated in the Map Areas in AGOL/Portal)?
