Michael, I always have had issues with the deployment tool. Maybe because ArcGIS Pro sits behind a corporate firewall/forward proxy. The way I do it is long winded but works Go to AGOL - Utility Solutions Deployment items Find the Viewer map and open it in ArcGIS Pro Change the source of the layers Save as my own Pro Project Publish the map to Portal. Good luck

Maria, You don't have to use their data. The Asset Package is only a use case of what can be done. I'm on a project at the moment for a Electricity Distribution Utility and we are creating our own version of the Asset Package as the Esri Inc demo isn't suitable for Australian Electricity Utilities. We are redefining all aspects of the package (eg. asset group, asset type, attributes, containment rules, connectivity rules, etc.)

Hi all, I'm trying to find out if this scenario is possible in the UNF. In the Electricity industry we have High Voltage Switchboard/Switchgear that contain Circuit Breakers/Current Transformers (Devices), Busbars (Line) & Connections to Busbar (Junctions) as an example. The equipment would be considered to be contained within the switchboard (eg. Assembly). There also could be another requirement to logically group the equipment (eg device, line) together based on the function (eg. outgoing feeder, tx). Since there is no OOTB logical grouping provided by the UNF other than containment which only permits 1 containment within the network domain (eg. device contained within the assembly). Also, the logical grouping doesn't always apply to equipment contained within that switchboard as multiple switchboards can be connected together. Has anybody tried to come up with a solution for this other than extending the UNF by creating relationship classes, etc. Thank you for any time looking at this.

Michael, Thank you for the link to the item within your git repo. The other rules in this repo are very interesting and will definitely be looking into some of these in the future. Just a quick question - How much overhead to the user do these cause? Especially when it comes to looking up values from other feature classes (eg. restrict editing rule looking up the user access from the fgdb)? Is the delay noticeable everything it fires on the insert/update/delete? Thanks

Will, Are you looking at the dirty areas that already exist in the sample data or are you looking at new dirty areas that you have created by placing new features?

This isn’t an idea. This should be moved to another forum as you are questioning functionality.

I was hoping you were going to say 'Yes we are using geographic coordinates'. Sorry I have no ideas relating to this now. I'll be watching to see what other people say. Good luck

Mindaugas, What coordinate system is your data in? There is an issue if the coordinates are in geographic (eg. Lat/Lng) because the dirty area becomes approx. 10,000 sq km in size.

Ulrich, I hope someone from Esri Inc PS Team replies to this message as I have seen a slide from a presentation that showed DB performance comparing to HANA, SQL Server, Oracle & PostgreSQL and was little surprised that PostgreSQL had the best performance. I can't tell you what the metrics where and believe was SQL Server was the next. With HANA & ArcGIS Enterprise, I have seen a setup of this in a AWS instance as a Proof of Concept for the organisation I work for. If you reach out to Tom Turchioe from SAP he helped us out and also has a few blogs on this topic. Good luck

You can find of all the ArcGIS Pro projects relating to the Utility Network here (AGOL - owner:UtilitySolutionsDeployment). Look for the latest version of the 'Electric Utility Network' which is currently V3.11. This will have the file geodatabase and a few maps for publishing the services. Good luck

Alex, As Paul mentioned, is this to the same schema or different ones? I currently have within the same enterprise geodatabase (sql server 2017), 7 different electric utility networks all deployed to different schemas as very are in different states of configuration, etc.

Hermien, I have been successful in setup the untools from beyond a firewall. I have never had to create the .condarc file. My proxy setting are placed within the .condarc file located in 'C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\bin\Python' and these are my settings proxy_servers: http: http://proxy.domain.com:8080 https: https://proxy.domain.com:8080 ssl_verify: False To ensure access to the internet from the machine that I'm running the conda install from, I always have to open a website (eg. https://abc.net.au) first to ensure that myself/machine have been authenticated against the forward proxy to allow connection Good luck

This is a good idea but I would like to see Esri provide a tool to manage all data dependencies from enterprise/file geodatabase, registered db connection, registered folder/file share, server site, server folder, feature class, layer, service, portal item, user owner, user's folder, web map, web app, etc. At the moment, I'm using Sparx Enterprise Architect software to model this and it's hard work
