This has happened now with Operations Dashboard both on my PC and on a Server. Install operations dashboard, all goes well, enter our Portal URL, and we see all available dashboards. Open one, and all the widgets populate with the correct data, but the map itself never draws - just blank space. No errors or warnings. I had a support session with ESRI about it when it happened on my PC, and we figured it was something specific to that machine that would be hard to find, so we left it there. But now that it has happened on another machine, I'm very curious to know if anyone has seen this before or has any thoughts on resolutions. Thanks - Allen Scully

I'm getting the good old "Invalid Redirect URI' when launching an Ops Dashboard browser application from our Portal site. The link works when I manually change it to HTTPS (instead of HTTP) - So I'm just looking for a little direction on where to set it so that the launch link automatically uses HTTPS. Thanks - Allen

I should add that I'm looking at the portaladmin > security > config > update identity store json code and wondering if I can just add another entry there that references the police domain.

Working at a city government IT department, and we have built a nice Operations Dashboard for the Police department, and it is using a web map in Portal. We need to keep security locked down, and want to create 5 or 6 new named user accounts for police staff who will be using the dashboard. The police department has it's own domain - not the domain that Portal is seeing when we use active directory for all other users. I know we can create accounts for police staff that are not active directory, but first choice would be to have Portal be able to see 2 domains when using active directory to create accounts. Is this possible? Thanks - Allen

Indeed, quite helpful. Just what I needed to see. Thanks Michael.

I'm also having this issue, but it seems to be simply a matter of where to put the ArcRest files. I have an ArcREST folder within the Python27\ArcGIS10.3 directory, and clearly some of the ArcRest python files and modules are not where they need to be. Any thoughts on where to put the ArcREST files once they are downloaded? I have run an install using pip for ArcRest, and it ran successfully but again, not everything is apparently stored where it needs to be. Thanks - Allen

Working on configuring Executive Dashboard for our organization, and have groups/maps set up in AGOL. Currently we only have a few maps set up, and all are part of the Public Safety group within the application (essentially done by tagging the map in AGOL in a way specified in the Exec Dashboard configuration instructions). When I go to the 'Map' within Exec Dash, and click the public safety icon, I receive the following error: TypeError: Cannot set property 'isMaxInclusive' of undefined Unsure whether this is more of a bug, or related to an issue with our configuration of the app. Any pointers appreciated. Thanks Allen

Thanks Christopher - Yes, it's public build 10.3.2 1154. I do get a warning saying the security certificate on the ArcGIS Server that has the map services is invalid, but it gives the option to continue. Have not seen any issues with the certificate come up in other applications, and the behavior is the same with any Portal map, regardless of which ArcServer machine hosts the services.

I should clarify - not Operations Dashboard Developer 10.3.2, but the current available Operations Dashboard you download here: Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Allen

Currently not having success adding a map to Op. Dash - essentially nothing happens. I go to add the map through the Map widget (adding a Portal map), and Operations Dashboard just hangs. The little blue bar towards the increments a bit, but eventually stops well under half way and then eventually freezes. Recently upgraded to Portal 10.4. I have tried this on maps with and without ArcGIS Server security, and neither one works. Trying an uninstall/reinstall of Operations Dashboard but otherwise am out of ideas. Thanks Allen

We have a successful GeoEvent service set up that updates Police incidents in real time. The output connector is updating a feature that is in a published service with feature access enabled. All fairly straightforward, but now that we have it working, we need to put security on this service. With security enabled on this service, GeoEvent processor can no longer see the feature service to update. Research has led me pursue the 'Use Token' option in the Registered ArcGIS Server settings within GeoEvent Manager. My issue is actually getting the appropriate token. It seems you need to go the server's tokens location (<myserver.domain>/arcgis/tokens/) and generate a token. I am having trouble finding the correct HTTP referer URL to use. From the ArcServer help docs: HTTP Referer: When this (default) option is selected, the issued token can only be used in requests referred by the specified URL. This is the URL of the page from which the request is made to the ArcGIS resource. Use this approach when building an application with the ArcGIS API for JavaScript or other REST-based applications, in which individual clients will request maps and data directly from the ArcGIS Server web service. I am not sure what this URL should be in this case. Additionally, I am not sure if, once I get the correct URL and token if this would need to be manually changed once the limit of our long-lived tokens is reached (1 day, currently). That would not be a terribly convenient workflow. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks - Allen

Thanks - Took some trial and error but I got it going. Essentially created variables in the python script that represented the same string values I had in the AddMessage tools. Then using SetParameter I referred to those variables, and set 2 corresponding derived output parameters in the script (in ArcMap - properties for the script), then published GP Service. The desired results now show up in the WAB Geoprocessing widget, with essentially no configuration in WAB other than plugging the GP Service into it. Appreciate the help. Allen

Thanks John - Yes, I think it needs to be a derived output parameter. But as a relative newbie to scripting Geoprocessing tools, I'm not totally sure how to get the AddMessage content into that parameter.

We have a fairly simple GP Service built, and are building the widget in WAB. The tool is a custom python script (not from Model Builder). Basically you click on the map, and the script runs and returns a calculated value (water pressure, in this case). The GP Service runs correctly, and in ArcMap the pop-up displays the results, which are just a constructed text string configured in an arcpy.AddMessage... statement. In WAB, the tool appears to be executing correctly, but no results are returned. This is because the Output section has no configuration. The output page is blank when the tool is finished running. All I need to do is hook up that output tab in the GP Widget in WAB to the arcpy.AddMessage value in my script. Looking at the config_Geoprocessing.json script, I can see the "outputParams" are empty, so I'm just looking for some tips on what needs to go in there to finish this up. Thanks - Allen

Simple heat map using the canned AGOL symbology - wondering if there's a way to have the pop-up just show a count of # records at a given point, similar to clicking on a raster cell. Guessing the data would need to be set up differently to support this, but figured I'd see if this can be done on the fly in an AGOL map. Nothing seems obvious when exploring the pop-up config. Thanks - Allen
