Thank you! I knew it was right in front of me. I knew I'd seen the option before. And obviously, I need to read the documentation more closely. Thanks again.

Hi. This answer may be right in front of me, but I am trying to view a list of web maps that I have hosted in ArcGIS Online in ArcMap. But, when I "Add data from ArcGIS Online" I do not see any web maps. In fact, I only see map services and feature layers. And the UI doesn't look like the examples in the documentation here: Using ArcGIS Online in ArcGIS for Desktop applications—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop for version 10.3 (I'm using 10.3.1). According to the documentation, I should see "My Maps and Data." Instead, I only see "My Data" which is limiting. I'm pretty confused about what I am seeing. So, if someone could help me out, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi. I think we may be missing a step in our process and could use some help. Within ArcGIS Online, we are creating a new feature layer using one of the templates (the "Permit Inspection" template in the General group). This works great until we remove an attribute we don't need. After that, we cannot add any features; I mean, we can click on the map (e.g. via the map viewer) to add a feature but nothing really happens. Anyone have any ideas? I appreciate it. Thanks.

We’ve installed Esri Maps for Sharepoint on our Sharepoint servers and when testing we get the following error whenever we open/view a map. Does anyone know where we might look for the cause? Thanks.

Hi. I am trying to set up a Esri Maps workflow on a Sharepoint List that adds a polygon shape location to the list items. The feature layer is hosted in AGOL and is owned by the sharepoint app config account. When I start the work flow, the workflow is canceled by the "System Account" with the error: "Your WorkFlow failed: The server token is null." Also, if I execute the workflow on an individual item/row in the table, the status is "Completed" but there is no shape. The list I'm using is an export of the attribute table of the feature layer so there should be a match between the two. Does anyone have any ideas where our configuration is wrong? Thanks.

Hi. I am trying to add an "Esri Maps Location" field to a list (with x,y coordinates) in sharepoint and I do not have any options under the "Location Settings." Does anyone know what is missing in our configuration or in our data? Thanks!

Hi. I am wondering if there is a more efficient way to do a feature search through the "feature=" parameter than what we're doing. We're trying to connect a list of attribute information with the corresponding features on an embeded agol hosted web map and while it works, using the following zooms first to the full state (i.e. the saved map extent) and then to the feature each time. In our opinion, it seems inefficient and could be confusing to our end users. http://www.arcgis.com/apps/Embed/index.html?webmap=d248e5b1966040d48fab9059db857f21&feature=NCDOT_ResidueProperty_5176;IdNumber;2 (this will not actually work outside our domain) I appreciate any help.

Hi. We're want to configure AGOL to use enterprise logins and am wondering how risky it is to just give it a try (since development environments don't exist). We have about 200 user accounts and lots of deployed content and we want to make sure that giving it a try won't make existing accounts and content unusable. I'm not that familiar with the technology involved so it is hard for me to gauge the riskiness from reading documentation. Thanks.

Okay. I see. The map also needs to work in the AGOL map viewer. But I'll file the idea away. Thanks again.

Thank you for the quick reply and idea. Can you explain what you mean by turning the visibility off in a feature layer? Thanks.

Hi. I would like to configure my web map to support "feature=layerID;searchfield;searchvalue" parameter of the apps/Embed URL. It seems to be pretty straightforward until I want to search two layers within the same map service. So, I set up a “By Layer” find location capability for each layer in the web map and it looks like this under the hood: "search":{"enabled":true,"disablePlaceFinder":false,"hintText":"Place, Address, TIP#","layers":[{"id":"NCDOT_STIP_1732","field":{"name":"TIP","exactMatch":false,"type":"esriFieldTypeString"},"subLayer":0},{"id":"NCDOT_STIP_1732","field":{"name":"TIP","exactMatch":false,"type":"esriFieldTypeString"} I think because the web map references the map service, the map service id is duplicated as the search layer id instead of creating unique ids. As a result, the URL does not find the feature in either layer. For example: http://www.arcgis.com/apps/Embed/index.html?webmap=cb02f4f828974670ad01bb83be91b18c&feature=NCDOT_STIP_1732;TIP;B-5339 From what I can tell, in order to make this search work, I have to add the map service layers to the web map separately. However, the power of referencing a map service in a web map is that all layers are grouped together. I lose that if I add the layers separately (until AGOL supports service/layer grouping in the web map). So, I’m wondering if anyone knows how to make the feature= capability work without referencing each layer separately in the web map. I hope this makes sense. Thanks.

Thank you. Yes. The servers/services are fine. We can connect to and use them in all of our applications except ArcGIS Explorer. Thanks.

Hi. Suddenly, we are not able to connect to ArcGIS Server server using ArcGIS Explorer. Last week we had no problems. Today we do. Here are some examples of connections that fail: http://services.nationalmap.gov/arcgis/services http://services.nconemap.gov/arcgis/services https://gis11.services.ncdot.gov/arcgis/services I understand that some issues in Explorer come from Internet Explorer, so we're thinking that perhaps our IT group made some changes over the weekend. Does anyone know where we can look? If it helps, we long ago made the change to the IE LAN Settings to uncheck "automatically detect settings." Thanks.

Thank you. Since we have unlimited users through an ELA, it didn't occur to me that there would be that kind of a problem. I'm guessing that this is not something many do so no one will really know if it will cause problems during editing. But, I am still curious.
