I believe those mean they are "new" in some way. Or at the very least, that you haven't clicked that particular icon out of the app launcher. Clicking on any of them will make the green dot go away the next time you open the app launcher.

Thanks for your answer Melita. As I'm completely new to these questions, I was wondering if you could help converting one to the other. So for example, I have a coordinate in the Zambian 'UTM 27' system that is: Easting: 663386.15 Northing: 8293522.83 And that is roughly: Easting: 663385.03 Northing: 8293227.69 in the standard UTM, zone 35L. Is that enough info to figure out how to convert from one to another? Many thanks, Kane

The issue is fixed for me at 2.8.2. However, at least on ArcGIS Pro 2.8.2, do not upgrade the pandas package above version 1.2.3. Any pandas version higher than 1.2.3 causes the arcgis package to fail upgrading from 1.8.5 to 1.9.0. If arcgis 1.9.0 is already installed then every Notebook will throw an error in ArcGIS Pro when you try to run the Notebook, until you roll pandas back to 1.2.3.

I'm using ArcGIS Pro 2.7.1 and rasters are not displaying correctly. When I first open the program it is fine but if I tuurn my raster layer off and then on again it does not render correctly. This is demonstrated in the gif below. These are my current display options: I've tried restarting pro and building pyramids for this raster. This is happening with other rasters too.

I'm using Geoserver to provide a WMS. I'd like certain layers within the WMS to be secured. In testing I have had the WMS layers show in ArcGIS Online when unsecured. Trusted servers and CORS all seem to be configured both in the AGOL account and on the Geoserver side. Adding security to the layers in question (through Geoserver) ArcGIS online can see the layers but trying to add them results in a 401 error. I was expecting a pop up dialog to enter credentials as per the docs but this does not appear. Leaving Geoserver as is, when I try to access the same layer through QGIS the behaviour is as expected; adding a secured layer prompts for user credentials. From reading other questions I was hoping perhaps @ChrisWhitmore might have some insight. Cheers, Oliver

I'm using ArcPro 2.7 and have just watched your video. Only when I login into Pro using an Advance license can I add a field to a FeatureClass I had created in the geopackage, but then only when the layer is not in the map and I add it via the catalog panel through "Design> Fields".

Hi Xander, I am looking at your example above and came up with my own polygon shape file. However, I ran into this one issue when I was running the code and I'm not sure why there is this error with _base.py in arcPy where ...line 98, in checkInvertedLine pnt_start = line.firstPoint File "C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\Resources\ArcPy\arcpy\arcobjects\_base.py", line 90, in _get return convertArcObjectToPythonObject(getattr(self._arc_object, attr_name)) SystemError: <built-in function getattr> returned NULL without setting an error Have you encountered this error before?

Thanks for trying Dan. I'm struggling to think of a use case for a "sometimes" accurate analysis tool. Do you have any experience with the viewshed or viewshed 2 geoprocessing tools? I tried both prior to using the interactive one but had very mixed results.

I'm trying to run the arcgis API in jupyter. I have installed ArcGIS 2.4 (upgraded from 2.3). Checking my Python packages through ArcGIS pro I can see arcgis package is installed. When I open the Python Command Prompt the default environment is activated (arcgispro-py3). Typing "jupyter notebook" launches jupyter and I can see the tree in my browser. When I try to import the API I get the following: I have tried cloning my default environment within ArcGIS Pro and updating the arcgis package using conda. However, in the cloned environment the problem persists. I suspect it may be a problem with my environment paths. Any help apprectiated.

I've recently been working on a project with complex labelling requirements over a satellite imagery basemap. Some parts of the basemap are very bright others very dark. When labelling adding a halo effect can make the labels stand out. However, is there option to apply a "blend mode" to the halos? For example a blend mode of, multiply, dodge, darken etc. as found in graphics software and other GIS programs. Applying these blend modes can make the halo effect much more subtle. Cheers, Oliver
