The Near Me widget is now out of beta in ArcGIS Experience Builder. We have added some great enhancements in Near Me in this update, including some functional parities with Near Me Web AppBuilder widget, performance improvement, widget communications and many more. We also restructure the configuration experience for greater usability and better user experience. Note: Since we introduced many changes in the widget, your older app that has Near Me beta version configured, will not work anymore, instead it shows a blank screen with a message, saying “Analysis is not configured for layers in this map” (Screenshot below). As a result, you will need to reconfigure the analyses again to leverage the latest functionalities in the Near Me widget. Summary of the key enhancements in October update Out of beta Restructured configuration experience Improved configuration performance has been improved by adding confirmation buttons so the builder interface does not update with any insignificant changes in the configuration. The selected feature from the pop-up can be used as an input location in Near Me widget from data action menu. Added option to hide sketch tools and/or search distance settings. Show only selected layer results to remove background noise so clear pattern can be identified. Select multiple features to create search area using the select tool in the map. Emit message actions to other widgets. Create output data source for other widgets to use as data input. Many other small enhancements and bug fixes. Hi @NicolaRiordan, Near me supports group layer, so it should be able to use feature layers whether they are grouped or not. Is it possible for you to share your web map with me? Thanks Aziza

@ruikaitang_brampton we tried joining the two data sets you shared and couldn't reproduce the issue internally. We need to access your data (the joined layer and/or the web map that has the layer) to troubleshoot what is going on. Unfortunately, I don't think you can log a bug with support right now because it is in beta but at the end of October it will be out of beta and you will be able to log a bug through support, I suggest that you reach out to esri support for this issue, they can securely access you data and can help you narrow down the issue. If the issue is with Near Me, they will send it to us. Thanks so much, Aziza

Hi @JillWeber Right now it cannot be done in the released version, we are working on adding support to so Near Me can send its result to other widgets. I will update this thread when we add this functionality. Thanks Aziza

Hi @dcallaghan, Unfortunately it cannot be done right now in EXB, In EXB builders widgets can communicate with each other, so we have a plan to explore if it can communicate with Direction widget to provide direction, but it is not in our roadmap in near future. Thanks, Aziza

Hi @DeanSzumylo, In Experience Builder, unfortunately there is no work around for generating report at this moment, we are waiting on printing service to add reporting capability. Instant app Nearby has capability to print search results in PDF, with an option to to include map. This might be something you can look into as well. Hi @jvenables We will add this functionality eventually in Near Me sometime next year, we will see if we can leverage Add Data widget action to use the added layer as input for Near Me.

Hi Jeffrey, Thank you for your feedback. Few of the items you mentioned in your message are already available 1) I want Near Me to sort and/or filter my existing list. I don't want my users to look through a separate list. Sort functionality is available in the configuration of Proximity analysis, it sorts results by distance as default but you can use field for sorting. Please use filter widget in your app to filter your data, Near Me will honor those filters. If you turn on any filter and then run Near Me, it should honor the filter. Here is a blog on how to recreate Web Appbuilder Near Me workflow in Experience Builder , the blog will guide you through the steps to set up filter widget. 3) You can configure search widget to use current location and set up message action (explained in the blog) to use it as an input for Near Me. We are currently working on sending the output results to other widgets. We will consider your request to make sketch tools configurable. Thanks, Aziza

The  Near Me widget is now available in ArcGIS Experience Builder as beta following ArcGIS Online June 2023 update. It incorporates major functionalities of the Near Me, Situation Awareness, Info Summary, and Screening widgets found in Web AppBuilder, and it will reach full functional parity with these widgets when development is complete sometime in early next year. Near Me allows users to view and analyze features within a specified distance from a location or current map area. Users can apply search and analysis to generate list of features with curated information. Results can be downloaded to a CSV file. Key capabilities Search in the following ways: Draw a location on the map with drawing tools. Use the Search widget in a web map to find an address or place. Select an existing feature using the List, Feature Info, Table widgets, or Select tool. Use the active map extent. Analyze results to show the closest feature and features within the proximity and view detailed information about each feature. Summarize numerical information, such as total population and average age, and apply a background color to each summary field. Show categorical information with count, such as how many parks are ADA compliant. Show all the features in the layer and get curated information about each feature, such as road closure status. Download analyzed information to a CSV file.
