I'm working on an app created in AppStudio (Qt Creator). The app is based on the MapViewer template which is able to use Mobile Map Packages (MMPK), and I want to be able to see the tags for each layer. It's possible to add tags on the layers in the MMPK, but I can't seem to figure out a way to read them in my code. I have a piece of code that iterates through all the layers, and I can see the layers tags by using the property tags on the ArcGISItem property, but since this is not an online layer I don't have that property on the offline layer. But as I wrote it's possible to add tags on the layers in the MMPK. The screenshot above shows a tag on the layer in the MMPK. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated 🙂

In ArcGIS Pro, is it possible to use a topology rule on-the-fly when creating a new geometry or modifying it? I want to be able to constraint users when they create or modify a geometry of the feature to keep it inside another geometry. In essence the user shouldn't be able to move a vertex outside a specified polygon. This should be checked on-the-fly. Any help would be grateful appreciated. Regards, Carsten

We've created a number of custom steps for Workflow Manager using your sample in C#. The code can build fine and the assembly is registered, but when unregistered it fails. The code for registration is: [ComRegisterFunction]
static void Reg(string regKey)
{
JTXUtilities.RegisterJTXCustomStep(regKey);
}
[ComUnregisterFunction]
static void Unreg(string regKey)
{
JTXUtilities.UnregisterJTXCustomStep(regKey);
} The error is: I've looked in the Registry and the class id does exists, but I can see the "Implemented Categories" is not there. Shouldn't there be a "JTX Custom Steps" category for this in the registry? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Regards Carsten

Hi Meggie. Thanks for the reply. Yes, it require inputs to run, and I do fill that out. But it can run the first time, so the inputs doesn't seem to be invalid. It's the second time I run it I get the error. Regards Carsten

I'm getting an error when trying to run a custom step based on JTXDesktopSteps.LaunchGPTool. The first time I run the GP tool it does as expected, but the second time (until I restart ArcMap), I get the following error: I don't know what this means. Any help is really appreciated. Regards Carsten

I've created a custom step in Workflow Manager Administrator. The custom step is executing JTXSteps.ExeucuteGPTool, like so: The arguments are: /toolboxpath:"C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\MaritimeCharting\Desktop10.6\ArcToolbox\Toolboxes\Nautical Tools.tbx" /tool:ExportGeodatabaseToS57 (this is the only one required) When I press the Validate Arguments Names button, I get this Even if I only use the /tool argument. If I instead of the JTXSteps.ExecuteGPTool use the JTXDesktopSteps.LaunchGPTool, like so: And press the validate-button, I get Anyone experienced this? I can't get the step to run if I use the ExecuteGPTool, and I don't want the GP Tool dialogue to show, so the LaunchGPTool is not an option. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Regards, Carsten

Hi Sathya. Thanks for the reply. We are currently using GIT and a number of repos. All having this structure: .git\ src\ docs\ readme.md changelog.md All the apps in AppStudio are placed locally in this folder: C:\users\(username)\ArcGIS\AppStudio\Apps, and each folder underneath with an UUID as the foldername represents an app. Is there any way to configure how the folder structure of these apps look like? I mean, I want to be able to download an app from AppStudio and the local folder should look like this: C:\users\(username)\ArcGIS\AppStudio\Apps\(UUID)\src\(here should my Qt project be placed). The reason for this is that I want to be able to seperate code from documentation and readme and changelog files. I would happily elaborate on this if my question seems strange 🙂 /Carsten

We are using AppStudio to create native apps for both Android and iOS. It is quite straight forward when creating apps using a template, i.e. the "MapViewer" template, as-is. We are creating apps by using a template and then customizing the source code to fit specific needs. And it is here we are facing an issue, when a new version of the runtime and/or framework is published and we want (or must) upgrade to the latest versions. It is a slow-going and manual process to "upgrade" our existing code. We find it "easier" (but still problematic) to just create a new app using the latest version of the template and then copy-paste our own source code from the old project into the new one. If we are not very careful the new app is not working because something has changed in the runtime. So, my question is this: Do some kind of "upgrade"-tool exist for this kind of process, and if not what is the best practice for going from and older version to a new one? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Carsten

It could be very useful to be able to create folders inside AppStudio. That way I would be able to put the apps in different folders. /Carsten

Hi all 🙂 I have a java script application that loads a web map with a spatial reference with wkid 25832. I then want to add another layer to the map, but that layer has another wkid (4326), and when I add it I get an error message my console saying "incompatible spatialReference". I've read somewhere, that it is because the layer I want to add is a Vector Tile Layer. So my question is two-folded. Is it possible to add a vector tile layer with a spatial reference to a map that has a different spatial reference? If so, how can I achieve this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi. It's great to see that it is now possible to share using the QML framework But, it doesn't work if I share to Facebook, whether I choose "Share as text" or "Share as URL". Maybe this is not intended to work with social medias like FB? Regards. Carsten
