Hi @NaveenK, It is not currently possible to set alert rules for one metric based on the values for another metric. This is an interesting use case that I would like to know more about, though. What situations lead to the number of running SOC processes being less than the configured minimum? Is this a common problem in your Enterprise environment? Josh

Hi @NaveenK, Have you taken a look at the "Process Instances - arcsoc.exe" metrics on the host components? This may meet your need. Josh

Hi @Shawn_NG, This is not possible at the current release of ArcGIS Monitor but it is a valid feature request. I have moved this thread to ArcGIS Monitor Ideas so other users can upvote it. Josh

Hi @BenClark, Is the GeoEvent Server in the same network as the ArcGIS Monitor Agent you are trying to register it with? It's a bit suspicious that monitor is reporting that no connection can be made within a 5 second timeframe. Something you could try is installing an ArcGIS Monitor Agent on the GeoEvent machine, registering it with ArcGIS Monitor Server, and then registering GeoEvent with that new agent. Josh

Hi @Brian_McLeer, The connectivity metrics measure the ability of ArcGIS Monitor to communicate with the component. A value of 100 means that ArcGIS Monitor can successfully communicate, whereas a value of 0 means communication has failed and the component is down / unreachable. By default, the connectivity metrics open an alert if their value falls below 100 over two or more samples. Looking at your screenshots, there has been some interruptions in connectivity but monitor has generally been able to communicate with the component just fine. Let me know if I can clarify further or if you have other questions. Josh

Hi @benjamin000, Storage components are children of host (Windows and Linux) components. After registering the hosts as components, you will see the associated storage components. Josh

@GisMan, we need more information to troubleshoot this: 1. Open a Powershell prompt on the target machine as an administrator, issue this command, and provide a screenshot of the output: Get-CimInstance -Class Win32_PerfFormattedData_PerfDisk_LogicalDisk | Select-Object Name, FreeMegabytes 2. Open Windows Explorer and take a screenshot of the disk in question under "This PC" > "Devices and drives". For example: Josh

Thanks for the additional info @Dan_Brumm. Is the data versioned? If so, please take a look at the metrics and their descriptions that are available for the SQL Server component type. I'm wondering if "GDB State Lineages" answers the question you are asking or if there is more to it. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/monitor/latest/get-started/windows/metrics-reference.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_3BBBF13D73E24238B6208066B15FEE69 Josh

Hi @NCOneMap, Adding and removing machines from the ArcGIS Server site should not have effected how ArcGIS Monitor collects metrics for the site. Do you see any errors in the logs indicating that the ArcGIS Server's observers are failing to run? With that being said, when new machines are spun up you will not get Host component metrics until you manually register it with ArcGIS Monitor. This is a deployment scenario that the team has thought about and will release a set of scripts alongside the next release to help make the monitoring experience more seamless when auto deploy is being used.
