My English is poor:confused:. Dear Jim Barry this is a joke? Or the solution is too simple? Not a joke, sorry if it seemed that way. I noticed your post in the "MapObjects" forum, but reading your post, it seemed to me you are actually using ArcObjects, so I moved it over to that forum, so that you have a better chance of having the right people see it and hopefully reply to you.

While the majority of the information in this thread is of value, including very candid comments about the quality of the software and its documentation, which are all fair game, I've taken the liberty of editing out some parts that in our judgement don't bring enough value to the discussion of the technical topic itself. I've clearly marked the outtakes with the word "[edited]". Of course we prefer to edit others' posts as rarely as possible. Whether any of it should be considered to be readded is an issue I would be open to discuss. If so, please feel free to contact me directly. Your freedom to voice your thoughts, and the integrity of the forums in general are very important to us. Feedback you want to provide to Esri and our distributors are listened to, considered, and in some way resolved.

From the description of this item on ArcGIS Online: "This is a diagram generated automatically by a Python script that inspects the contents of the arcpy library as it is shipped with ArcGIS 10.1. It will not ever be an officially supported or maintained document, please refer to the ArcGIS 10.1 online help for an accurate, timely source of reference."

I have an interesting problem. regards the possibility of being able to arrive, identify from the high resolution DEM, in an automatic manner the slopes (Escaprment, scarp) with a greater angle of 25 °, and as a final product having the polyline linear, which represents the edge of the escarpment. I colleboro with specialists of 4 European universities and we have not succeeded in finding a solution, I was wondering if anyone in the world is capable of doing this. does not exist, to date, script or appropriate extensions I'm moving this thread to the "Spatial Analyst" forum. I'll bet folks there will want to weigh-in on it.

Yes, there is the ArcGIS Engine developer kit product at version 10. It is part of the EDN subscription.

I'm going to move this to the Cartography forum to see if we can get some discussion going there.

I'm pretty sure this question is referring to ArcGIS Desktop w/an ArcView license (Proximity tools - Buffer), rather than ArcView version 3.x, so I'm moving this thread to the Geoprocessing forum.
