You need to provide much more information. 1) What is your "Gravity" data? 2) What do you mean by "improve"? 3) What information do you have to allow you to improve the gravity data? 4) What are the formats of your datasets? 5) What licenses for ArcGIS and / or extensions do you have access to? Regards, Jim

I believe John's solution regarding graphics will work for you. Draw a graphic square in data view, right click for properties, and set the height and width, then convert graphics to shape on the drawing toolbar. Regards, Jim

1. Yes, that is correct 2. Yes, height is in meters referenced to the source datum. 3. If you have access to either 3D analyst or spatial analysis extentions, there is a surface toolbox and one of the tools is Contour. You can choose the contour interval, conversion factor (if you want to change from meters to feet) and what elevation to start at. Output is a shapefile with the elevation value added to each line as an attribute. Best Regards, Jim

Looking at your image and datasets, The state of New York is almost entirely in UTM zone 18 North - I do not know why it would be saved as UTM zone 17 North, as the distortion would be high. Try making a copy and defining the coordinate system as UTM 18N and see how it aligns. Regards, Jim

Start with either the Streetmap data that comes with ArcGIS, or use add the streetmap data from arcGIS online for your metropolitan base. Second step is to geocode your address locations, which means deriving an x,y coordinate from the address. There are many many services to perform this, and the best solution depends on the number of locations you have. ArcGIS provides a geocoding service, as does google, for starters. Regards, Jim

Add an attribute column and populate it with the same value (unless you already have a suitable field). Then run Data Management Tools >> Generalization >> Dissolve, and point it to the field with the same values for the Dissolve Field. Best Regards, Jim

If I understand correctly, the points were assigned an incorrect coordinate system. If you simply redefine the coordinate system correctly (GCS WGS84), next you can reproject it to get a copy in SP WI south NAD27 feet. ArcToolbox >> Data Management Tools >> Projections and Transformations >> Define Projection ArcToolbox >> Data Management Tools >> Projections and Transformations >> Feature >> Project Best Regards, Jim

Let me back up after reviewing your post. What you have in the screen capture are digital topographic maps. These are pictures of topographic maps, and do not have elevation information embedded in them. In order to create surface elevation contours, you need a DEM. This can be obtained (Usually, but with the Federal Government shutdown, the site is offline) from nationalmap.gov/viewer.html With a DEM, you can create contours at the intervals you wish. Try using the raster calculator with a conditional statement and a threshold of accumulation. THis is outlined in the help under Hydrologic analysis sample applications, step 5-6. Regards, Jim

This is an extension that needs to be installed and licensed before use, just like Spatial Analyst etc. Modify your install to include this extention, enable it, and you should be able to access the tools. Best Regards, Jim
