If you are using ArcSDE 10.1, then you should be using the SDE Command line tools to register. sdelayer The functionality of registering Views with the geodatabase, using the "Register with Geodatabase" tool was introduced with ArcGIS 10.5.x, so you won't see that in the previous versions. https://community.esri.com/groups/geodatabase/blog/2016/12/14/new-at-105-registering-a-database-view-with-the-geodatabase ** My suggestion would be to drop the view and recreate it, to be sure.

Two completely different data sources are being discussed here. The first is data coming from an Oracle Enterprise geodatabase using an SDE Service connection (Your colleague I assume). The other is Shapefiles on your local machine. If you want your Colleague's MXD to also use these Shapefiles, simply copy all the Shapefiles to his\her machine and then point the Layers in the MXD to use these Shapefiles.

You can setup the trigger on the D-table for that feature class. However, do note that the D-table is updated in 2 scenarios: 1. when a feature is actually deleted, (which you need) 2. when an existing feature is updated (which you don't need) delta tables So this might not give you the exact info you want to collect.

Why not just create a copy of the Table in the main database with whatever name you prefer, Export that out, import it in your test environment and then drop the copy in the live environment. That's way easier.. https://www.techonthenet.com/oracle/tables/create_table2.php CREATE TABLE New_Table_name AS SELECT * FROM Existing_table_Name;
