I am surprised to fine there is no Copy Parallel tool in PRO. This is an invaluable tool when constructing multiple parallel features at specified offsets.
Agreed! Definitely an essential function.
This is one of many editing tools which need to be added to ArcGIS Pro. All the ones on the Advanced Editing toolbar such as split polygon or construct polygon would be nice too.
essential? it's shocking that it's missing!
I have a question... One thing holding back adding this tool to Pro is that we are unhappy with several known bugs resulting from the 'Treat selection as a single line' option on this tool (particularly in combination with 'create a new feature for each selected line' and 'remove self-intersecting loops'), as it can give unexpected output and we want to address these issues before bringing that option to Pro. If Pro had copy parallel sooner but without this option available would this satisfy enough workflows or is this option essential to the workflows you need copy parallel for?
Excellent question… personally, I would prefer to have the basic Copy Parallel tool available without the added option. I don’t think the “Treat selection as a single line” option is critical at this point. I’d launch without it (with documentation indicating the problem as a known issue) and add that option to future releases when you figure out how to deal with the quirks. In the meantime, users can merge features to be copied before they use Copy Parallel. An inconvenience, yes, but not worth delaying the tool.

I would never use the "Treat Selection as a Single Line", so I'm personally fine with just the basic tool.
I would definitely like to see this feature added with the caveats about issues. For pipeline survey work this tool is essential to create duplicate line data for keeping crews on survey lines. Attempting to go all Pro and without these necessary tools it makes it really tough.
