Hi @JPWillson - I'm the product owner of the Tree Management Solution. Thanks for sharing this idea; I'd like to learn more. I recall looking at more detailed risk assessments early on as we researched. It'd be great to learn more about risk assessments and what types of organizations perform them. If you're up for sharing screenshots of your form here, I'm sure the community would benefit from seeing your work. I'm also going to send you a direct message to see if we might connect. Thanks! Mike

In the screenshot you shared, just a little lower, click on Tree Data Management. Then on the item details page, click Download. (Or you can search for Tree Data Management, or navigate to it in your contents. All of the items deployed will be in a folder called Tree Management)

Hi @DerekBernard There are a few ways to load existing trees into the Trees feature layer. One way is to use the Tree Data Management Pro project that is deployed with your solution. The project contains step by step tasks, one being loading 'Load existing tree data'. You can learn more about using the Tree Data Management Pro project in the Manage tree data doc topic, here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-solutions/latest/reference/use-tree-management.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_7465DA42B89E4A02BC9577FC3D31AE43 In particular, see the Load, create, and modify tree data sub-topic. That will help you get to the relevant Pro task which will help you through loading existing data. Make sure you check out the Get Started topic as well. I hope that helps! Mike

Hi @DerekBernard Our Use documentation may be helpful. That provides step by step instructions for each information product included in the Tree Management Solution from the end user's perspective. For example, the topic 'Collect and assess trees in the field' details how a maintenance worker in the field can collect trees and conduct inspections. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-solutions/latest/reference/use-tree-management.htm It also might be helpful your end users view our demonstration video. That shows the uses cases and how the apps are used: https://mediaspace.esri.com/media/t/1_oneh5zqd I hope that helps - Mike

In addition to the configure documentation I shared previously, each solution includes how to use documentation which is written to help explain how an app is used by the end user. The Tree Management Use documentation is here. You can also view view a demo of Tree Management (along with several other solutions in the playlist), here. Your idea of using a solution to get you closer to what you want to accomplish with ArcGIS is a good one. I might also suggest training to help you get acquainted with ArcGIS Online generally. You can find some information on training options, here. I would suggest taking another look at the Parks and Grounds Management solution since it seems closer to what you'd like to accomplish. From what you've shared, configuring that solution may be a better route. You might also be interested in Recreation Outreach.

Hi @AmyGrossman - We document common configuration patterns for each Solution. The Tree Management configuration doc is, here. However, that documentation is written in order to help users configure the capabilities for the domain the Solution is designed to support. We don't document generalizing a Solution although it is possible to do that, at least partially for example by renaming information products. Many users do deploy Solutions in order to learn a pattern and discover how we configured ArcGIS to accomplish a particular workflow then build their own information products following the pattern. That's also a route you might take. Is there a particular aspect of the Tree Management Solution you're interested in repurposing? What's the workflow you'd like to support?

Hi Sandon (hope you're doing well!), Sorry for the delay on this question. Unfortunately, symbolizing ties is not possible in the current Solution but we are looking to support it in an upcoming release. As you alluded to only one feature is returned in the join we're using and currently that value is set by the number of votes only (so you'll get one of the top vote ties) but we are looking at how we can handle ties differently. Both of those sound like good options to me. You could calculate/populate a value (even a placeholder value) into the fulladdr field on the Trees layer. Location is a required field in a Workforce Assignment so having a value allows the person using Workforce to quickly assign assignments without needing to populate that value themselves. You could also configure the form to allow manual entry of the location question. The first option may be simplest for the end user of the form since the x,y map location is being passed from the Tree. If you do decide to configure the form, be sure to you se Survey123 Connect. The form was published at Survey123 Connect 3.12 so there may be issues publishing from a new version. I hope that helps! Would be happy to connect on a quick call in the near future if you'd like some help sorting through your options.

Thanks, Walter. The Create Tree Assignment form is expecting the the Location question to be answered by the Tree feature's fulladdr (Nearest Address) field. That value is passed to the form when its accessed through the Tree Management Center. It's a read only question question on the form because, as configured, that value is passed from the Tree. The form isn't configured to be accessed using the Survey123 app but rather in the browser.

Hi @WalterFeurer, Would you be able to share a few screenshots of what you're seeing? The Create Tree Assignment form is designed to be accesses from the the Trees page of the Tree Management Center. Select a tree, then click the Create Assignment button in the information section. When doing this, the x,y location (the location of the resulting Workforce Assignment) should be passed from the tree. A Workforce Assignment feature also has a text Location field which by default is passed from the Tree as well. With a few screenshots, hopefully we can figure out the problem. Thanks! Mike
