Hi Joe, The external links reported by Patrick above were caused by copying cell values from one xslx to another while rebuilding a survey. The copy carried path references to the local xslx file (hence the reference to a device name/user). To fix the Election Wait Times survey included when deploying Election Management, we just rebuilt the survey. Excel tools for changing the source or removing the external links didn't seem to work, so we started anew. In the case of the Election Wait Times survey, the external links did not cause any functional issues. They could be ignored and the survey would work properly, but we thought it was important to remove them. I hope that helps - Mike

Hi David Buehler, The Election Polling Places application is showing you the pop up for both polling places and precincts. The section you have circled in your screenshot is the voting precincts pop up. Because there is a relationship between polling places and precincts, you can show precinct fields in the polling places pop up. In the screenshot below, I added the text Voting Ward and District, then below it the {name} field from the associated precinct by selecting {relationships/0/name} from the Add field name button (the + to the right of the font settings). You can add additional precinct fields in the same way. You could then also remove the Pop up from the Voting Precincts layer in the web map so you don't have redundant information. I hope that helps, let me know how it goes or if you have any additional questions. Mike

The short it answer is no, not currently. But I'm working on a few how-to/configuration lessons that will be added to learn.arcgis.com and our conversation has been instructive for what needs to be covered. So, thanks for the feedback! Mike

The app looks great, Jay! Great example of taking a solution and making it your own. You're right that the widget is renamed, I should have mentioned that to help you find it. Let me know if you're planning to configure either Election Polling Places or Voting Centers to round out the Election Outreach Solution. Great work! Mike

Hi Jay, Apologies for the delay, just getting back from UC. I have some ideas about why you had trouble changing the symbology in for straightforward way on the layers in the web map. There is a 100% transparency on the fill in of the symbol that may have needed to be modified to see your changes, but I'm happy you got the outcome you're after. To add/modify the elected office layers the easiest way is to copy an existing layer by going to More Options, then Copy. You'll get a new layer in the table of contents named something like "Mayor - copy". You can then edit the filter on the new copied layer so that it Elected office is Vice President of the United States. Click Apply Filter, change the layer name to something like Vice President, then move the layer in the table of contents to your desired location. Save the web map. Then in the My Elected Rep application: edit the application and the Near Me widget's search settings to search your new layer. Info on the Near Me widget can be found here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/web-appbuilder/create-apps/widget-near-me.htm I hope that helps! I'm happy to connect via phone. I'll be away on Monday, but we could connect Tuesday if you'd like. Cheers! Mike

Hi Jay, In this context, there are a few different relevant symbology configurations: The ElectionGeography features service has default symbology The ElectionGeography_public view also has it's own default symbology (if desired, it can be different than its foundational feature service) The My Elected Representative web map has symbology defined on the layers in that particular map that control what is shown in the My Elected Rep application Your Pro project configures symbology on the layers for the map in that Pro project So when you add ElectionGeography or ElectionGeography_public to a web map or into Pro, you're configuring the symbology for that map rather than for the feature service or view themselves. Within a web map, you can also configure the default symbology (the first 2 bullets above) by clicking More Options, then Save Layer (see below). Setting the default symbology means whenever the layer is added to a map it already has the symbology configured. You can still change the symbology for that particular map, which is exactly what you're doing in this case. So you're doing the correct thing for what you're after: configuring the symbology in the appropriate web map used by the My Elected Rep application. I hope that helps! Mike

Hi Jay, Would you up for connecting via phone? I can walk you through the solution and we can take a look at where you're having trouble between populating the data and it being visible in the app. Cheers, Mike

Hi Patrick, The external links have been removed from the survey excel sheets so future deployments won't see the external links message or local references. Thanks again for reporting the issue. Mike

Hi Patrick Robb, Thanks again for reporting this issue. The links aren't necessary to the the Election Wait Times survey. You can break or remove the links (although, removing the external links can be difficult) without affecting functionality. I've logged a bug with the survey so future deployments will not see the external references. Many thanks, Mike

Hi Patrick, Can you describe the error you're seeing (is it in ArcGIS Pro or AGOL; within Election Assistant) and/or where you're coming into contact with the Mike9989 user? I have some ideas on the issue, but some additional information might help. In case you haven't seen it already. Here is the help documentation on configuring the item IDs for the Election Wait Times and Election Requests surveys: http://solutions.arcgis.com/local-government/help/election-management/get-started/configure-election-assistant-surveys/ Thanks Mike
