Not sure where you heard that, but Esri has not made any announcements regarding the retiring of ArcGIS Dashboards. In fact, they just announced new functionality for ArcGIS Dashboards last month: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/ops-dashboard/analytics/introducing-dual-axis-charts-in-arcgis-dashboards

Just my opinion, but it really depends on how often the data is updated and how the map is intended to be used. Neither is superior to the other, just different tools in the same toolbox. Use the one that matches the situation. If the data is changing multiple times in a day/week/month or you need to show detailed data over a large area then dynamic, digital maps are more useful and reliable. Examples could be maps that have time sensitive information or a water distribution system for a city that has valves, hydrants and fittings. On the other hand, if the data is fairly static, there is no cell service, many people need to see the map at once or electronic device batteries may not last long enough then static, printed maps are more useful and reliable. Examples that come to mind are emergency services or outdoor recreation in remote areas. Who knows maybe someday the technology will be there that static, printed maps are no longer needed, but I think we are still a long way off from that.

@bbywaterbw removing the ready-only from my calculation fields fixed the issue for me as well. My survey was published from Survey123 Connect at version 3.22. I did try using ArcGIS Online Assistant to change the version number in the Experience Builder JSON but that did not fix the issue no matter what version number I used.

I am experiencing the same issue. I am not using the Embed widget. I am using the Survey widget. We have not changed anything in our environments for months. I am experiencing this with ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4.

To the best of my understanding, the Join Site operation is not supposed to be used to migrate from on-premises to cloud. The WEBGISDR tool is supposed to be used instead. From Esri about Join Site migration: "Due to the dependency on shared storage between machines that participate in the same site, this strategy should only be used if the machine you're migrating to is within the same data center as the original machine. If you are migrating to machines in a separate data center, consider using the WebGISDR tool." https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/11.3/administer/windows/migrate-to-new-machines.htm Maybe you can trick it into thinking that both servers are looking at the same shared directory, but I would make sure you have a good backup before trying that. If I remember correctly, Portal for ArcGIS allowed me to manually copy directories ahead of doing a Join Site, but I think ArcGIS Server started copying its directories as part of the Join Site operation except for the Cache folder.

What version of ArcGIS Enterprise are you on? Related table support has come a long way at 11.4 but still has limitations. Two recommendations that I have are: Create the feature class, table, and relationship class in ArcGIS Pro and publish that to ArcGIS Enterprise. Make sure to base the relationship on the feature class's GlobalID field and a GUID field in the table https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/how-to-set-up-related-tables-in-arcgis-pro-for-use-in-a-000028010 If your data is stored in an Enterprise Geodatabase you can use attribute rules to pull the latest inspection info from the most recent inspection into the feature class without having users dig through popups. If your data is stored in a hosted feature service, you could use webhooks and web tools to add the most recent inspection info to the feature layer but it is more work.

@MarianaMilshtein Esri is not known for backporting features in any of their products. Unfortunately, if you need the filter table by map extent you will have to upgrade to 11.5. On the plus side 11.5 is the next long-term release and is the branch to migrate between ArcGIS Enterprise 11 and ArcGIS Enterprise 12.

I too am enjoying the new Web Editor app and the functionality that it is bringing to a web environment. That said, I do hope that all the functionality it brings is eventually brought into Experience Builder as an "Advanced Editor" widget. One of my organization's biggest issues with Esri web technologies is the fragmentation of functionality. Often we have a workflow where we need to do "A" and "B". Well one Esri web app does "A" and another does "B", but none do both. I hope that Experience Builder eventually becomes the one and only web app building experience. I really think Experience Builder could and should become the home for Instant Apps, Dashboards, Web Editor, and StoryMaps. I think Map Viewer should keep its simplified editor interface to keep that specification as lightweight as possible and save the advanced functionality for Experience Builder.

@marksm_macomb I could be wrong, but could you not set up the symbology, labeling, or filters when you create the web map? As long as Web Editor is a separate app, I think it is wise to be selective in what non-editing functionality is added to the app to keep it streamlined for editing.

What is the recommended way to track capital projects that involve multiple types of infrastructure? For example, we had a project that involved upgrading the water distribution and sanitary sewer lines in a street and then the street surface was reconstructed. That project involved Water Distribution, Sanitary Sewer, and Transportation, but the solution seems to only allow for one of those options.

@JakeSkinner never mind, the option to edit is there but the edit button is only available on the dashboard's item details page. We were looking for the pencil icon on the Dashboards home page or the Edit Dashboard on the group's content page.

It appears the UI has changed at ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4. I have Shared Updated enabled for a group, but when I go to share my dashboards there is no Access/Access and update capabilities open. I share the dashboards to the group, but group members can only view the dashboards. I get a box that looks like the image below. There is no share with update option that I can find. How do you allow multiple dashboard editors at Enterprise 11.4?

We often have capital projects that involve more than one type of infrastructure. It is usually a combination of utilities and/or transportation, such as the installation of water and wastewater mains or the replacement of a water main and repaving of a street. It would be beneficial to associate more than one project type to a project and be able to filter on those values in the apps and dashboards.
