Hi James Tedrick, I'm attempting to run this from the Toolbox in Pro and receiving the below error: Start Time: Tuesday, August 14, 2018 6:14:31 PM Running script Sync a Hosted Feature Service to a Geodatabase... FYI I got this working using something like the below: concat("<font color='red'><b>HORIZONTAL ACCURACY OF ", ${HORIZONTAL}, " IS INSUFFICIENT</b><font>") This picks up the red and the bold tags. Weirdly though, if I try the below it refuses to pick up the center tag: concat("<center><font color='red'><b>HORIZONTAL ACCURACY OF ", ${HORIZONTAL}, " IS INSUFFICIENT</b><font><center>")

James Tedrick that's just my point; If either statement is TRUE then the constraint is also TRUE. For example: if(selected(${COVERED_OVER}, 'NO'), not(selected(${COVER_LEVEL}, 'UNKNOWN')), true) or if(selected(${COVERED_OVER}, 'UNKNOWN'), not(selected(${COVER_LEVEL}, 'BELOW_GRADE')), true) should result in a constrain triggering: if COVERED_OVER is NO, COVER_LEVEL must NOT be UNKNOWN or if COVERED_OVER is UNKNOWN, COVER_LEVEL must NOT be BELOW_GRADE However, as described only the statement before the 'or' works to trigger the constraint....

James Tedrick I was unable to include the ${DROPDOWN}) in a calculation without getting an error. Instead I added 'PLEASE_ANSWER' to each of my choice lists and calculated that to be the default answer. It's a bit of a pain as it's now a possible answer a user can choose and so now I must also include a constraint for each question stating that ${DROPDOWN}!='PLEASE_ANSWER'. Thanks

One more for you James Tedrick Can the logic you describe above for the orginal questions contain an 'or'? Sadly, it appears not as I'm trying the below with no success: if(selected(${COVERED_OVER}, 'NO'), not(selected(${COVER_LEVEL}, 'UNKNOWN')), true) or if(selected(${COVERED_OVER}, 'UNKNOWN'), not(selected(${COVER_LEVEL}, 'BELOW_GRADE')), true) The first part, before the 'or', works fine upon validation however the second half of the statement is failing to do anything.

Hi James Tedrick I'm following the above logic, but getting nothing. Here's my constraint statement in my [COVER_LEVEL] row: if(selected(${COVERED_OVER}, 'NO'), selected(${COVER_LEVEL},'UNKNOWN'), true) If I set {COVERED_OVER}= 'NO' and ${COVER_LEVEL}= 'UNKNOWN' my message fails to appear. Any advice is gratefully received. Thanks

This issue is stalling my use of Survey123 too. I want to filter choices based on a previous select_one (Yes, No, Cancelled) ... but I don't want to filter choices based on all the choices of that previous select_one, just one of those choices (No). James Tedrick unless I'm able to use 'Yes or Cancelled' then I can't use a Choices_filter.

Hi James Tedrick I'm not disputing your answer, but I will question why my calculation fires correctly the first time around. For example: All questions are select_ones, fed from a choice list of BLUE, GREEN, RED, YELLOW, WHITE Q1 contains a calc that states: if(selected(${Q2}, 'BLUE') and selected(${Q3}, 'YELLOW'), 'GREEN','WHITE') Q2 is set as BLUE Q3 is set as YELLOW Q1 switches from WHITE to GREEN However, if: Q1 is set as RED (or anything that changes the value set by the calc, even setting it to RED then back to WHITE) Q2 is set as BLUE Q3 is set as YELLOW Q1 fails to switch to GREEN Thanks

Hi James Tedrick / Ismael Chivite I am struggling with some fairly simple logic needs. Here's my set up: Order of questions: Cannot Locate: Select_one of Yes/No Covered Over?: Select_one (many answers) Surface Cover?: Select_one (many answers) Here's my calculations: Cannot Locate: Covered Over: if(selected(${CANNOT_LOCATE}, 'YES'), 'UNKNOWN', if(selected(${SURFACE_COVER}, 'CONCRETE'), 'NOT_IN_SCOPE','')) if(selected(${CANNOT_LOCATE}, 'YES'), 'UNKNOWN','') This works just fine. For example if an answer is {CANNOT_LOCATE}='YES' and {SURFACE_COVER}= 'CONCRETE') then {COVERED OVER} gets set to 'NOT_IN_SCOPE'. However the issue is that in order to make this happen I need to hit the green "refresh" symbol (see screenshot). Is there any alternative to this? Thanks

Hi Jayson Ward Thanks for this. I saw this presentation in a demo theater at the UC presented by Erwin Soekianto and Elvin Slavik . Elvin Slavik showed a capability whereby he included a small JS applet in the 'media' folder of his survey. He was able to pass attribute values to this and have it fire them off to a payload URL which did something ith them, and returned a value to the survey. I don't see anything about that in this posting but am looking to learn more and find some examples. Thanks
