Many offices are moving from traditional installations of Office (Office 2016 and prior) toward Office 365+. The new version is 64-bit or 32-bit. Does ArcMap require a 32-bit version of Office? Does anyone have experience with ArcMap and the Microsoft Office 365+suite. We are using Windows 10 64-bit Operating Systems.

You need the Microsoft Access Database Engine components 2010, version 14.0. The 2007 version work as well but that version has conflicts with versions of Office > 2016 (i.e., if you open Access it will upgrade any installed 2007 engine components to the 2016+ version -rebreaking the fix). See: Download Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable from Official Microsoft Download Center

My organization is planning on moving from Office 2016 to Office 365 Pro+. I'm assuming we will need to use the 32-bit version of Office 365 to be compatible with ArcMap. Are there any known documented issues with using this version of Office with ArcMap or ArcCatalog (e.g., will .xls and .xlsx files still be accessible?). Thank you for any advice you can provide. We installed this patch and it did not break anything as currently configured. That being stated, it is hard to test the fix since the work around was to combine all licenses for a particular feature into a single EFL code. To test you would have to re-divide your entitlements and see if this breaks the license manager again. Rich

After talking with ESRI support they had be C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.7\Utilities and run the AdvancedArcMapSettings.exe as administrator. When this opened the Systems Paths were set to '1'. We reset the Styles, Templates, and Locators Paths to the correct value and all is now well. How they got to have a value of '1' is a mystery.

In some installations of ArcMap 10.7.1 when one selects Change Layout in Layout View the ESRI templates are not displayed even though they are present in the correct location at C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.7\MapTemplates. Any ideas on what is causing this?

If upgrading to ArcGIS License Manager 2019.0 be aware of the following bug: #BUG-000124081 ArcGIS License Manager 2019.0 displays an incorrect number of available licenses when there are multiple fulfilments of the same feature with different authorization numbers. ESRI has this scheduled to be fixed with ArcGIS Desktop 10.8.0.

If you have an ArcGIS Developer Network Subscription (a.k.a., ESRI Developer Network) any developer licenses you create/provision will have an expiration date of 1 year. The date goes from the 'date purchased' + 365 days. If you need perpetual licenses then you would purchase a traditional license. rich

To close this out, I contacted ESRI support and they were able to 'add' 10.5.1 to the drop down menu on the request a license screen for me. This issue may be specific to your ESRI customer # so if you don't see the version number you require don't hesitate to contact support.esri.com.

In relation to 'Resolved the issue where certain extensions couldn't be licensed at version 10.4.1 and prior.' I've had a similar issue with ArcGIS Server Standard Enterprise. The license provisioning process does not allow me to request a v10.5.1 license.

In the above example we have 25 Professional/ArcInfo licenses. Our end users are unable to checkout more than 5 licenses; when the sixth user attempts to obtain a license the receive the standard 'license unavailable' message. *The majority of our users are at ArcGIS Desktop 10.6.1. We are attempting to update to ArcGIS License Manager 2019.0 to could evaluate ArcGIS Pro 2.4. Richard P.S., Do you think the 'Repairs' count for our authorizations (shown in the above image) could be causing a problem?

After upgrading from ArcGIS License Manager 10.6.1 (v11.14.1 ) to 10.7.0 (v11.16.2 ) we have observed that the ArcGIS Administrator displays wrong license counts and that many of our licenses are unavailable. For example, we have 25 ArcInfo licenses but after the upgrade only 5 are shown as available. When we click on the View License Usage tab we have two authorization numbers shown (which is expected). The Bug that may be present in v11.16.2 is that only the last Authorization in the list is being made 'Available' for checkout (i.e., appears to be ignoring the authorization in the list with 20 licenses. Has anyone else seen this?

This same issue is present in the new ArcGIS License Manager 2019.0 software provided with ArcGIS Desktop 10.7.1. If your ACT feature shows 'Users of ACT: (Error: 1 licenses, unsupported by licensed server)' then your license counts will be incorrect and ArcGIS Pro will give the error previously described while in operation.
