Hi Ann-Marie. The first I thing I would check are permissions: Make sure the logged-in user in the app belongs to one of the groups where the survey was shared. If you see the survey listed in the Downloads page but you the download is not completing, try publishing and sharing again.

Carl Holt Joe Flannery Connect is more restrictive in terms of overwriting surveys. This table articulates what type of things you can change in a published survey without losing data: Web Designer Connect Reorder questions YES YES Delete questions YES YES Update Labels in Questions YES YES Update Labels in Groups NA YES Add, Update or Delete choices in lists YES YES Update Constraints, Defaults, Hints, required YES YES Update Calculations, Choice_Filters NA YES Delete questions or repeats YES YES Change question types NO NO Add new questions YES NO Add repeats NA NO Add new notes NA YES Update Repeat Name NA NO Add Groups NA YES The key is adding new questions... it is technically possible to handle this from Connect. Currently in backlog.

As anticipated last week, this minor update of the Survey123 field app and Survey123 Connect is made available to address localization issues in non-english devices. Issues addressed: Removal of unexpected text from the User Interface in Survey123 Connect and Survey123 field app in Russian and Vietnamese. BUG-000103550: Allow use of decimal comma when manually typing the coordinates on the location page in Dutch and Spanish. All downloads available from: Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS With this update, the version of the Survey123 field app is 2.0.41 and Survey123 Connect is 2.0.56. Coinciding with this update, a new video-tutorial on Web Designer has been added to our Survey123 YouTube Playlist. The 2.1 release is planned to be made available in late May. Features in 2.1 will also be made available for early testing through our Survey123 for ArcGIS Beta Program.

The string within the curly brackets references an existing question within your form. Simply put the NAME of the question in your form that holds the values for the shape type and you should be good. The error you are getting indicates that your formula is referencing a question named SW_TYPE_SHAPE, which is not present in your XLSfile. Please note that questions are referenced through the value in the NAME column, not the LABEL. These links show in more detail how to use formulas in Survey123 https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2016/09/06/new-mathematical-functions-make-your-form-smarter Formulas—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS The Calculations sample form is also a good reference to get started with expressions in Survey123. You can create a dummy form using this sample and then look at the XLSFile to learn the syntax

This 5 minute video provides a new overview of the Survey123 Web Designer, a great tool that will help you create great smart forms for data collection right from your browser. Note that smart forms created with Web Designer can be used from a web browser, but also can be used while disconnected from the network through the Survey123 mobile app. Surveys can also be kept secured or shared publicly. Data captured with Survey123 smart forms can be used within web maps, story maps, web app builder, operations dashboard etc. Utilities and Communications ArcGIS for Water Utilities Education Electric and Gas User Group Esri Forestry Group (EFG) Local Public Safety Transportation Departments of Transportation More about Survey123 for ArcGIS: https://survey123.arcgis.com https://geonet.esri.com/groups/survey123 Video Tutorials

Hi Preston. I am no expert on the Roads and Highways product, but I can see some initial connection points: With Survey123 you can create smart forms to capture data along a linear feature such as road. You can for example create a form where field users will define the name of the road they an in, as well as the mile marker. Both of these attributes can be used later to put the event back in a map using a linear reference system. There is no need to include a map in the smart form since Survey123 can work against the event standalone tables directly. You can also configure forms to load from your existing feature services, events along roads. This includes events with SHAPE or events without a SHAPE. This would for example allow you to visit existing assets along a road, look at their properties using a smart form and even update that information. The type of things you will not be able to do are: You cannot define the location of an event based on a road-name plus mile marker an expect that Survey123 will automatically populate the XY coordinates in the SHAPE field. You will need to do this in the back-office. If you include a map in your form, you cannot center the map at a location using a road name plus mile marker. The map can only be centered using your device's location, or manually. You cannot expect Survey123 to render events in the map through a linear referencing system. If you would like to use a map in Survey123 to open for example the form for a specific asset in the map, you need to provide the lat/lon of the event in advance (through a SHAPE field) You cannot use Survey123 to edit linear features. For example, you cannot edit the geometry or Ms of an existing road.

Hi, I would recommend you have a look at the https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2016/10/27/the-pulldata-function-access-external-data blog post. Also in this help topic: Formulas—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS You can use the pulldata function to lookup the employee name from an employee ID. The output of pulldata can be used in the calculation column of a note type of question, or a read-only text question.

Hi. I think the https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2015/08/24/surveys-with-style post may help. It describes how you can embed images in your form. There is a discussion also at the end about embedding simple HTML (and HTML links) in labels. What I do not think you can do is to make an embedded image be the link.

Hi Robert. Yes. This is possible. Once a survey is published, you can open your survey in a web browser right from Connect using the menu option highlighted below. This option to use Connect surveys in a web browser is still on the works, but we have made this available in the software as a tech preview feature. Give it a try. This web browser option works with private and public surveys

Hi Peter: Disabling Collect: Great suggestion. I will add to the back-log. Not possible at the moment. Where expressions: Here is an example with dates: ws_advisory_start_date > '2009-01-01 00:00:00' You can technically use any WHERE expression supported by the underlying feature service.

Hi Francisco. This video illustrates how pages work in version 2.0: Survey123 for ArcGIS - Enabling Pages in your Survey - YouTube In our Beta Program pages you will also find sample XLSForms and more details. We received a lot of great feedback during our Beta program in regards to how pages should behave. As of 2.0, we were not able to implement all the changes suggested but it is in our backlog for 2.2, which we are planning to release tentatively in late June or July. We will make available the next iterations of pages through the Beta program.
