Check out ArcREST. It will allow you to add/remove/delete/update records in an existing hosted feature service using the REST endpoint. http://www.github.com/Esri/ArcREST Andrew

Check out ArcREST, this shouldn't overwrite your existing service, rather just populate an existing service with new records. http://www.github.com/Esri/ArcREST Andrew

That's true, but if you put it in the site package folder, then you don't have to mess with that.

When you save the layer file, make sure you store it using relative path names. I think that was the issue.

These two lines stand out to me right away: mxdPath = r"C:\regional_service_data\Cook\Mapbooks\ElectricUtilitiesMapbook.mxd" titleMXD = r"C:\regional_service_data\Cook\Mapbooks\ElectricUtilitiesIndexPage.mxd" Server cannot access directories unless you register them. Instead of hard coding them make them input parameters and let server copy the map documents to where it puts the GP data. Your tool probably cannot access the mxds. Hope this helps. Andrew

You have two versions on python installed on your box it seems, a 32-bit and 64-bit version of python. You'll need to install the package in both location. By default, desktop uses the 32-bit version, which the default location is: C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.1 You can install the package/modules in the site-package directory: C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.2\Lib\site-packages C:\Python27\ArcGISx6410.2\Lib\site-packages Even better use pip to install your python package for you from pypi site. Does anyone have a workaround for me where I can specify multiple wildcards when using "Iterate Feature Classes". I need to search for feature class that have the following tile names within a directory of multiple folder such as 1: 2830* 2: 2831* 3: 2930* and copy the shapfiles (polylines) into a File Geodatabase for futher processing. Wildcards: 2830*;2831*;2930* Regards You can create 3 models for each of your cases, and then combine the models into one model. Or you can try using python, which might be easier. Your Python code would look like this:
import arcpy
destination = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(0)
workspace = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(1)
arcpy.env.workspace = workspace
cases = ['2830', '2831', '2930']
for fc in arcpy.ListFeatureClasses():
for case in cases:
if fc.startswith(case):
print 'copy the data'
if you want to input your start with text, you could create a multi-value string and then split by ';'. Hope this gets you on track.
