Hi Muhammad, Sorry to hear about this issue. The date filter applied to the indicators _shouldn't_ cause any problems. When configuring a filter action, targeting Indicators that have a reference statistic are a bit different than indicators without one. The indicator name is listed, but you must specify if you want to target the query for the "value" part of the indicator or the "reference" part of the indicator (or both). Could this be what you are running into? If you don't see the Reference and Value breakdown and the Indicator name is grayed out, then it sounds like a bug. In that case, I encourage you to contact support so the team has a reproducible case to look into.

Hi Muhammad, As you found, you can filter on a date field where "date-time is [within the] year to date". There is not an option for "year to date last year", however. This is a great idea and sounds very useful. I have taken note of this request in our system. For the time being, I believe you can achieve this with two filter constraints: "date-time is last year AND date-time is before the last 365 days". For today that would translate to a constraint for (between 1/1/2018 AND 12/31/2018) AND (before 12/18/2018). Note: This filter would have to be adjusted in the event of a leap year (if Feb 29 present, then use 366 days).

Hi Floyd, That is a great question. Unfortunately, I was not a part of implementing the GeoEvent Server side of it. This tutorial simply uses data that was created for an ArcGIS Learn Lesson, which I believe Morakot Pilouk helped develop. All the best, Dave

Hi Randy, Sorry to hear about your trouble. Charts (and all visual elements) should work with layers having date fields with a time zone specified. After you publish your layers with your time zone specified on your date field(s), refresh your dashboard and try re-creating it as a new chart. Schema changes to your layer may cause existing visual elements to have problems, as they store info about the schema. If the problem persists, please reach out to Esri Tech Support to troubleshoot and/or log this bug. The dashboard team will need more details and a reproducible case in order to fix it. Dave

Hi Brian. Did you define your refresh interval at the layer item level or on the layers within the dispatcher map? If defined at the layer item level, you may be running into a bug (where the definition doesn't isn't properly read). Try defining the refresh interval on the layers within the webmap. The refresh interval should then be honored in the dashboard map layers and visual elements using these layers.

Debbie Murphy & Keith Burkey, I believe you can achieve what you are after by using a Details element. It will render what you defined in the popup. Image attachments will render in the Details element and non-image attachments can be opened via the link. To have the Details element show the feature(s) selected on the map, configure the map such that a selection on the layer applies a filter action to the Details element. Note: In order for the attachments to appear in the Details element, you need to have the "Show feature attachments as links" enabled in the layer's popup within the web map (as shown below).

Hi Sara, I just tried the four dashboard samples at the top of the post and was able to copy them without any problem. Could you provide more details?

That message means that the dashboard item that you are trying to copy cannot be accessed. It may be that you (the account you are signed in with) do not have access to the item. Or, if you are trying to copy an item from a portal, it will not find it.

That is correct. It won't work to copy a dashboard between ArcGIS Online and a portal/Enterprise (either direction). That said, this post discusses a technique that may work for you via the Python API.

Hi John, I'm glad to hear you are utilizing the Embedded Content element. Thanks for posting this idea and explaining your use case. We have this capability in our backlog, and I have added your use case to it. Although I cannot give a date on when it will be available, it is on our to do list. Dave

If you right-click and choose "Open Link in New Tab" it will open in a new tab. You can also hold 'ctrl' (command on mac) on your keyboard when clicking it to open it in a new tab. Note: this is for opening dashboards in edit mode (opening dashboards in viewing mode always open in a new tab). The following is a screenshot from Google Chrome.

Hi Tom, At this time the conditional formatting only allows for two styles (1. at/above and 2. below the reference value). I have recorded this enhancement request and use case. Thank you for the details.

Hi Jonathan, What you are referring to are the controls for when a feature is being followed. Following a feature is initiated from an element or selector via the Follow Feature action. In this case, it was used to simply draw users' attention to the earthquake (as the epicenter doesn't move). A date/time slider in dashboards is not supported at this time.
