I agree too. We have users who would benefit from this. In addition please make it so that author can control the indicator "text" when there is no selection to trigger the users to make a selection... i.e. "make a selection"

Allow users to be able to hide a widget that they've configured in Web AppBuilder. Configuration takes time, and during the development process it would be useful to be able to temporarily turn off a widget rather than removing it and then needing to reconfigure it again later if its decided that the widget needs to be included in the App.

Hi Kelly Gerrow and Katie Cullen, does Esri need more information from clients to move this forward? This "enhancement" is becoming more and more important to enable our users to be more self sufficient and take the heat of admins for transferring content between users. Thanks

I want to be able to save Arcade Expressions in AGO. Business case: I wrote an arcade expression to style a layer. I then clicked the "reset to default style" button and saved. And to my chagrin, it blew away my recently written arcade expression ... requiring me to rewrite the expression so that I could use it instead of the default style, after I changed my mind.

We have a use case for this too (i.e. a fire Bans and Restrictions layer. I'm using the Arcade expression to style a layer to show polygons that have an active date and time. If the active date and time is older than now() , show the polygon, else don't draw the polygon. This works well; however, if a user opens the attribute table they will still see the features that aren't yet active. We need to be able to filter the layer using the same arcade expression used for the styling. Please implement this idea.

As an admin I find that many times I'm looking at an item's details page and I want to then navigate to the item's owners content page (i.e. manage items). But in order to do so, I must navigate back to the org/members page, find the user, then navigate to their content via "manage items". Please add an option to "manage items" from the item details pages (current options include 'change owner' and 'move' the item to another folder).

Some Feature Layer geometry types i.e. multipoint are not supported by some of the style options i.e. heat map; however, there is no indication to the end user as to why the heat map option is not available for their 'point' layer. Its not always easy for an end user to deduce that their layer is a 'multipoint' geometry and thus not supported for heat map styling (currently they have to be able to view the layer's json which may not be readily available i.e. where the Services Directory has been disabled). Note: This was previously reported as a bug https://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/QlVHLTAwMDEwMTQ2Nw== and the developers chose to simply remove the heat map option when a layer's geometry was not supported. Please consider: updating the heat map style documentation to specify what geometries are supported (or not supported). specifying the layer's geometry in its item details page adding a warning to the web map's change style page that indicates the layer's geometry is not supported by the heat map option (esp. in the case of multipoint geometry layers).

I agree... a simple wording change to clarify what exactly the "updated" date refers to, would be welcome. Much of the terminology used in AGO is muddy and confusing to new and old AGO users.

Katie Cullen Seems that we also have folks experiencing issues using Edge when trying to draw a public feature layer item (ArcGIS Server REST service) in AGO while on our network (I don't know if the same issue occurs outside of our network). Seems that the "don't use edge" advice still holds? Are there any updates available for this Edge browser issue?

This would be useful for admins - from the perspective of an admin My workaround for this is to use a separate account for testing 'roles' ... obviuosly not practical when accounts are scarce.

Build an Esri mobile camera and notes app that allows you to define a project with fields, then take a photo (with locations), add some attributes, and then upload that to AGO as a hosted feature layer that includes the attributes and the photos. I suppose its a bit like Collector for AGO, but with a slightly different workflow. Rather than having to first configure an editable hosted feature service and web map first, this idea lets users start the workflow in the field. This idea builds off this new functionality allowing users to publish a hosted feature service from photos with locations: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/publish-features.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_C89E6F6E56B843C7ABA134878979D091

Thx for the reply Kelly. Glad to hear you're still working on the idea. IMHO is critical to efficient communication. Business justifications: Not all staff are ALWAYS signed into ArcGIS Online - but they always have access to emails and email notifications (we are a government organization). Thus it makes sense for AGO Group owners/managers/member to be able to hit a button "email all group members" or "email group owner/manager" allowing communication outside of AGO. Currently group owners can manually add group members to an email distribution list (difficult to maintain and cumbersome to enter every time you need to connect with group members). We are an organization with almost 500 AGO members (and growing). Some of our AGO groups have a lot of members. In absence of an "email button" for AGO groups, we waste a fair amount of time finding alternative (usually a manual process). Some have tried to create a script; however, their level of access (non-admin) does not permit them access to member emails. Instead they generate a list of usernames from their groups, which then they add to outlook and 'check names' to generate emails (it doesn't need to be this hard). In app notifications could be useful - but they don't address the need to communicate with folks who haven't signed in to AGO. Group communications (via email or in some cases in-app notifcations) would be VERY useful for collaborating on AGO projects and ensuring that all group members are included on the communications (based on the group membership). Examples of why we want to communicate with Group members: ask questions about content facilitate feedback and collaboration on content shared to the group solicit feedback on changes made to content shared to the group notify members of new content or changes to content notify members of changes to processes or methodology concerning content facilitate data management practices.
