Katie Cullen Kelly Gerrow any updates for this idea? We have a lot of users who would appreciate this enhancement in AGO. note this tool from Esri has been very useful to administrators (sadly non-admins can't leverage the tool because its admin access only: AGOL Subscription Group Emailer ) Will Burt

Yes please and Scott Larkin too if you can. Scott Larkin I think Katie means that if you go the source hosted feature layer's item details page (i.e. every item has a details page accessible via the content page, or in WAB it may be available via the layer list widget if configured as such). This is a bit convoluted for an end user to know how to do tho....

Katie Cullen has this been reviewed? I find that there are many many many ideas in Geonet that appear as "new" such as this one that was created 2 years ago....any updates would be appreciated. thank you!

Provide a privilege or function that allows members to transfer ownership of their own items to another org member including allowing them to create a folder in the other member’s content page, Includes an “undo” option Currently this is only available as an admin privilege that also requires the admin privileges “view all members” and “view all content”. This is not desirable, because there may be content that we do not wish to share with members; however, we do want them to be able to manage ownership of their own content.

Katie Cullen we had a conversation about the need for this a year or two ago. Katie are there any plans to add a "sub-org/branch/department" field or something like that to the user profile? It is possible to configure AGO groups to represent a users sub-org/branch/department. This might meet your needs. There is also a demo email utility app that you can use to communicate to members of groups. I'm still hoping for esri to add this simple app as a standard feature of AGO for all users to use (not just admins). AGOL Subscription Group Emailer

Group names can be long and also similar! When you can't see the entire name of the group it can be difficult to know which group to select to add a user to. Following this workflow you'll end up at the "Add to groups" dialogue box (admin role, from members' page, navigate to the "..." next to user name, select "view groups", click "add to groups"). The dialogue box is not resizable, and doesn't have horizontal scroll bars, nor can you hover over a group name to reveal the full name. Please make the dialogue more user friendly, but adding horizontal scroll bars to the pick lists, or ability to resize the whole dialogue box, or hover to reveal full name of group... or something else that would allow us to see the group names in their entirety... i.e.

2 seems to be correct if you are also trialing an ArcGIS Online organizational subscription. However; if you are an existing organization it appears that we actually get 5 seats for 15 days. I was only able to ascertain this by firing up the trial. 5 is much better for a large organization - however, its still very difficult to expose all of our interested users of D2M to the trial with a 15 day window. We are a government organization with users from many different business areas (each advancing in UAV technology at different times). It would be useful for us to be able to have multiple trial opportunities over the year (i.e. two or three 15 day trial opportunities would be better). A less appealing alternative is to tell our users to fire up their own AGO trial to access a 15 day trial.

Administrators would find it useful to be able to view a members groups by filtering on "update capability enabled". When downgrading a member's User Type from "Creator" to "Viewer", I have to find and remove the user from all groups with the "update capability enabled" before I can change the user type to "Viewer". Currently I have to open each group to determine if the group has the capability enabled. It would be much easier to manage, if there was a filter to list only groups the member belongs to with "update capability enabled". A complementary idea would be to have an option for AGO to remove the member from such groups automatically when attempting to downgrade user type to viewer i.e ask admin question "This member belongs to groups with update capability enabled. Do you want to automatically remove them from said groups? Yes, No".

Hi James - we recently used your workaround with our enterprise enabled AGO accounts. Sign in issues were noted on an iPad and iPhone using our ArcGIS Online enterprise sign-in enabled accounts. We're not using Portal for ArcGIS Online - but had to use the the workaround.

Funny that the "change style" icon has a triangle... and a square and a circle! But no triangle to be found in the marker options Please add more simple shapes to the "Basic" style category.

Great idea... perhaps if there was a new "item management" privilege that would allow item owners to assign the privilege to certain members for certain items (maybe at a group level?). We have many members asking for the ability to co-manage items/data for their business areas. We are a large organization and would prefer that admins did not have to change ownership of content on behalf of members - and we do not want to enable the admin privilege for all members to view all content. Please also consider the nuances of items shared to groups with "members can update all content" enabled - as this causes problems even for admins when changing ownership (i.e. admin must join said group to remove the items from the group before the items can be transferred to a new owner, and then the admin must add the items back to the group)
