Based on what you describe, i wouldn't suggest the scripts - they just add another layer of variation. The manual install and uninstall is better for this troubleshooting. On a machine with macOS 10.12.3 I just downloaded the same 2.0.41.dmg you describe and I installed and ran it successfully. Could you run the app again and this time take a screenshot of the error box with contents of the 'Report'?

Short answer - no I haven't seen this with 2.0 Some things to explore: - Are you attempting to use the uninstall / install scripts or do you see the same crashing when you do a regular uninstall and install? - What Mac OS are you using? - Just in case there are some stray files hanging about - go to Applications>ArcGIS>Survey123ConnectforArcGIS and click the Uninstall app. Older versions of Survey123 are not available.

Up until we installed the recent Windows 10 Creator update, ArcPad has been running great on Windows 10. But with the update came two strange twists. Windows Mobile Device Center stopped working and dates in forms look strange. Both of these were unexpected and the second one still not explainable, but I'll describe them here. If you come across any other strangeness please comment on this blog. If you are using Windows 10 in a production environment with ArcPad, and you don't specifically need something from the Creators update, it might be better to hold off. Windows Mobile Device Center After installing the update, I could no longer launch Windows Mobile Device Center. This one, the internet had an answer for: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-update/after-windows-10-creators-update-can-not-connect/9807ebe3-0e53-410d-b3b2-067d3f92de0e Changing the service setting fixed the issue. Squashed dates OK this is a weird one and we don't have a definitive explanation yet! The good news is that it doesn't effect the date that is saved to your data. If you enable the Attributes table on your form, you can see that the date that you selected in the date picker is correctly stored. It is only the appearance on the form that is effected. And on two different different machines we have observed two different appearances. See the screenshots below, on one the date is squashed so much you can not see any numbers, on the other you can partially see the numbers. Please let us know if you also experience this date issue, or any other unexpected behavior after updating your Windows 10.

When you install Survey123 2.0 (the field app or Survey123 Connect) on Windows, Mac or Ubuntu, you will now get a number of script files that can help you perform future unattended uninstall or installs of the app. The same files are supplied for both the field app and Survey123 Connect - some are identical, one is app-specific. Follow the steps below for recommended usage, but of course, if you're a shell script file guru, then these files are a great starting point for your automated deployment system! Prepare for unattended and installs Install Survey123 or Survey123 Connect 2.0 You need to do a regular install once, to get the required files. Browse to ~\Users\Username\Applications\ArcGIS\Survey123ConnectforArcGIS and copy the following three files silent-install-controller.qs silent-uninstall-controller.qs silent-uninstall-install-Survey123ConnectforArcGIS to another location on your computer, for example ~\Desktop\UnattendedInstall NB: The two .qs files are the same for every app created by AppStudio for ArcGIS. You only need to copy these once. If you wish to be able to uninstall and install both the field app and Connect, also browse to ~\Users\Username\Applications\ArcGIS\Survey123 and copy silent-uninstall-install-Survey123forArcGIS to the same location as the .qs files you already have copied. 3. Copy installation files to ~\Desktop\UnattendedInstall On Windows, your unattended install folder should now look like this: The .qs and script files don't change from version to version. Over time, the only files that will change are the installation files. Uninstall only 1. Open a command window and navigate to the ~\Desktop\UnattendedInstall folder. 2. On Windows, enter the command silent-uninstall-install-Survey123ConnectforArcGIS.bat . On Mac and Ubuntu enter the command ./silent-uninstall-install-Survey123ConnectforArcGIS.sh . Don't forget the dot at the end! That indicates that no file will be installed. You will see the uninstall screens appear, but you do not need to interact with them. Uninstall and install If you want to upgrade your app, you need to first uninstall the existing version, and then install the new one. You can do this in one action with these scripts. Your existing surveys are not deleted during an uninstall. 1. Open a command window and navigate to the ~\Desktop\UnattendedInstall folder. 2. On Windows enter the command silent-uninstall-install-Survey123ConnectforArcGIS.bat Survey123_x86_2_1_6.exe On Mac and Ubuntu enter the command ./silent-uninstall-install-Survey123ConnectforArcGIS.sh Survey123Connect_x86_2_1_9.exe The file name at the end of each of these commands matches the installation file you are installing. Install only The steps are exactly the same as for uninstall and install described above.

Trek2There is a smart compass that will always point to your destination. Unlike an ordinary compass, pointing to magnetic North, this app will use your direction of travel to tell you in what direction you should go to reach your destination. If you missed the original release of Trek2There, read more about the app in the Introducing Trek2There blog article. Trek2There has now been updated to fix a few nuisances that users have found: Copy and paste on iOS devices. You can now copy from another app: a single number value, a coordinate pair, or JSON coordinates. Copying a coordinate pair or JSON is really the best choice. If you’re unsure which number goes in which field – when you choose to copy and paste a coordinate pair or JSON, you are given an option to switch them! A horizontal location accuracy indicator has been added. The bulls-eye in the top right hand corner will indicate the horizontal accuracy returned from your location sensor. As your accuracy improves the inner most rings are highlighted. When you are not moving, the direction arrow now has a strike-through symbol to help remind you to move. The scale of Setting icon in the 'no destination set' message has been improved. The Contrast button has been changed to be more visually different to the Settings button. We have also improved Trek2Theres accessibility. If you use accessibility tools – please try Trek2There, and let us know how it works with your preferred tools. Provide your feedback in the form of issues. Trek2There is available in the iTunes and GooglePlay app stores and is now also available for download for Windows.

Hi Jennifer A couple of things are happening here 1) you need to switch the choice_filter expression around ie: FacilityType=${Facility} 2) you can not use or_other (note the underscore, that was missing in your form too) in a cascading select. You would need to incorporate 'other' as an option in your choice list. To mimic the behavior of the or_other option and have an additional question appear on the form when Other is selected, create a question with a relevance dependent on the value of the select_one or select_multiple question. Regards Marika

As long as your csv file is stored in the media folder of the survey, there is currently no known issue with using pull data from csv in a web form. If your issue persists, please contact tech support and supply them with your survey spreadsheet and csv file (or simplified versions of them) so that the problem can be troubleshooted.

Release 1.1 of Tile Package Kreator is now available for download from the ArcGIS MarketPlace. You can also download the source code directly in AppStudio for ArcGIS Desktop Edition, or from GitHub. Download this PDF document for a handy help guide for Tile Package Kreator. In this release we have focused on two key improvements: using an existing area or path to define an extent, and searching for a tiled service. Use json to create a path or area Drawing a rectangle or line on the map is the simplest way to create a collection of tiles for export to a tile package. But now you can drag and drop json or geojson onto the Tile Package Kreator map to define your area or path. This is great if you already have a complex feature that defines the extent of your offline requirements. For example, you may wish to create a TPK file for your city extent. Save the city boundary as a json or geojson file and drag and drop it onto your Tile Package Kreator map. Creating a file for your polygon or line is one way to use json to create an extent, but if your feature is already in a feature service, you can copy and paste the json representing that feature directly from the feature service web page. Be sure to use keyboard shortcuts when you copy/paste from a web page, rather than using right mouse clicks. Other tools can also be used to generate json or geojson - try http://geojson.io/. On this website draw your extent on the map, then copy and paste the json directly onto the map in Tile Package Kreator. Remember that the area or line feature that you copy to the Tile Package Kreator map must have a spatial reference of WGS84 - either 3857 or 4326. Enter the URL of a tiled service When you sign in to Tile Package Kreator and choose to Create a new tile package, all of the tile services available to you will be presented. You can select any one of these to create your TPK from. If your desired tile service is not listed, click the plus button in the top right hand corner and enter (either type or paste) the URL of your tile service. A tile service may not appear because it has not been registered with your ArcGIS organization, or you may have a large number of services. Once you have entered the URL of the service it will appear at the end of the catalog of services. Select the service to proceed to the next step of nominating an extent. Remember that only tiled map services that have export tiles enabled can be used to create a TPK file.

Yes you can multiple tile packages list - the examples above show this. Just be sure to uniquely name the different basemaps, for example { "displayInfo": { "map": { "mapTypes": { "append": false, "includeLibrary": false, "mapSources": [ { "name": "Low res basemap (good for in field downloads)", "url": "http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=9a7e015149854c35b5eb94494f4aeb89 " }, { "name": "High res basemap (warning large file!)", "url": "http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=4497b7bb42e543b691027840d1b9092a" } ] } } } }

You describe that the required .tpk is in the list of Maps - that already eliminates a lots of issues. You also describe that you have checked the extent of the map - this is the critical step to review. When you choose a different basemap, does the extent default to your expected area?

Hi Paul Ah timing... AppStudio 1.3 is about to be released and although strictly speaking is 'the next AppStudio release after the Qt SDK Quartz release' (by only a couple of weeks), Quartz will not be included in AppStudio 1.3. We will be working on Quartz integration for the subsequent release.
