I am using Pro 1.1.1. I have an esri basemap and one layer of my own. The spatial reference of my map is web mercator. I then use the Create Map Tile Package tool to create a .tpk. It appears to complete successfully, and i can upload this .tpk to AGOL for sharing with my apps, but my app is expecting the spatial reference to be equal to WGS_1984_Web_Mercator_Auxiliary_Sphere but instead it is None and therefor doesn't not work in my app. To check all this I opened the .tpk in notepad for viewing, and i see this: Instead i would expect to see <spatialreference>WGS_1984_Web_mercator_Auxiliary_Sphere</spatialreference> How do i ensure my .tpk has the spatial reference correctly defined?

There are many steps required to take installation files to the stores that are difficult to automate. For version 1.0 you can generate these files in AppStudio and follow the steps described here Distribute your app—AppStudio for ArcGIS (Desktop Edition) | ArcGIS to take them to the stores. Over the coming releases we intend to automate more of this process.

With AppStudio for ArcGIS now officially released, its a good time to recreate any apps that you may have made during the AppStudio beta to be sure they are using the most up-to-date template code. In particular, do recreate your map tours as they may no longer work. The change made to map tour was very small - we took out an import statement that was not being used. But the consequence is that when you attempt to run your app inside AppStudio Player (or attempted to build it with cloud make), your app will appear as a white screen. If you have made many map tour apps - we have created a sample that can help you repair your existing apps.To download the sample, Open AppStudio for ArcGIS (Desktop Edition) Browse to Search > Groups > Sample Apps Download the Map Tour Update sample This sample will. find all apps in your ~\ArcGIS\AppStudio\Apps folder, of the type map tour and in each of them, remove the import ArcGIS.AppFramework.Runtime.Dialogs 1.0 from the top of the file MapTour/MapTourApp.qml, and copy the file MapTour/PortSignInDialog.qml to your existing map tours MapTour folder You could also do these steps manually without running the sample. Be sure to create a new map tour with version 1.0 of AppStudio to get a copy of the MapTour/PortSignInDialog.qml file to copy into your old app.

Yes it does need to be a map service to appear in the legend. Ideally we'd like to show feature services too but discovered many discrepancies between services. Instead we have stuck to map services only until the new and improved runtime webmap functionality is ready for us to use.

Although we have made some changes to the version 1.0 template - i do want to clarify the expected behavior. If you want a default date entered in your feature service - you need to define a default date in the feature service before you use it in a quick report. Saying that, the change that you will see in version 1.0 is that if - the field is not required, and - a default date is not set, and, - the user does not enter a date, - the date field will be empty (instead of the 1/1/1970) in the resultant feature in the feature service.

I think your question is about changing the order that the pages of the Quick Report are displayed - is that correct? If so, ideally we would like to provide a property that you can set to change the order of the pages. This currently does not exist. If you are keen to change the order, you can edit the code of the template in AppStudio for ArcGIS Desktop Edition. The file that contains the ordering of the pages is QuickReportApp.qml. At the bottom you will see each of the pages listed as components with onNext properties. You can modify these to change the order. Be aware that you will also need to be sure that the behavior of each component is modified also. Editing the code is not for everyone - but does mean that if you need the functionality changed, you can do it.

Hi Donald I see this post is a little old - Im sorry we missed it. Brief summary: 1. and 2. - fixed in version 1.0 of the template to be available very soon. 3. and 4. - these were fixed in beta 4, and refined a little further again in version 1.0. Regards, Marika

Hi Donald The "offline" capability that we had in the Quick Report beta's - as you describe - was insufficient. We may have stored the records but there was no code to update them once back online. Also, you could only actually submit a record if you lost connection after the service had already been read, and you got a location. For the first full release offline has been removed from Quick Report. We know offline is important - and we do plan to add offline specific templates to our collection over time. Users can also customize any of the templates to suit they specific needs. We do have a reasonable number of samples that demonstrate the different elements that you need to build any web mapping app - including offline functionality. Regards, Marika

Hi Doug Firstly regarding the question of install to the user directory, this was a deliberate choice early in the design. We use a single installer framework which creates installers for all operating systems and we chose an installation pattern that could work the same everywhere. This can and may be changed in the future, but is not a high priority activity right now. Regarding name changes - well yes at some point the beta will be removed . Secondly, regarding your workflow - yes appending records in ArcMap is a good way to add older records (that you had archived in some way) to your current feature services. Regards, Marika

Survey123 installs into a location that does not need admin privileges - it installs to the users home directory. So if you are an admin, it will install into the admin users home directory. Its a very basic installation. Research suggests that we may need to make changes to the installer to allow for silent installs - at the time we created the installer tooling this wasn't available, but it seems there have been changes since. If you are game take a look at the scripted suggestion made here: [QTIFW-166] Support headless unattended installation - Qt Bug Tracker

which part of this question is important - 'silent' or 'non admin'? ie: is that you want to do silent installs, or that you want to be able to install as a non administrator. Non administrator installs are supported.

Currently custom popups are not supported, but they are something we intend to add in future. Likely will come with the new web map support in the next major release for Runtime.
