I have another question Right now, I have an indicator element displaying the total number of projects. If I want to display only the number of projects listed in a List Element, how can I do this?

Thanks for the reply. After plenty of digging, I may have just figured out how to do it. But that is taking me into new territory and new questions. The new fields were there but were not selected. I had to click on Select Field and select them

I am trying to use the Capital Projects Tracking dashboard to monitor the status of projects. I am using all the HFL and HFLV that comes with the dashboard when you deploy it. I am trying to add a field to Capital Projects feature layer view and am having no luck in finding a way to do this. The Capital Projects feature layer view is reading Infrastructure_allfundedprojects hosted feature layer view and that HFLV is reading the Infrastructure Projects Hosted feature layer. I can add the field I want to the Hosted feature layer in AGOL no problem but when I follow the online instructions for updating the associated HFLV, it isn't updating. Can someone tell me or point me in the right direction for getting the added field to show in the allfundedprojects and Capital Projects hosted Feature Layer View?

I am trying to configure the Capital Tracking Dashboard to be specific to what my organization would like to see. I want to add a field to the infrastructure Projects feature layer but I am confused on how everything is connected. I can add a field to the infrastructure feature layer and can see the dashboard uses a view of this feature layer called capital projects but can't figure out how to update capital project view to show what the infrastructure projects feature layer shows. I don't want to overwrite the capital projects layer view for fear I will lose all the projects already in it. Can anybody tell me how I can update the capital projects view?

Some streets are so small but have long street names and you have to use insets to get them to display properly

It's definitely a pain. I have over 740 streets to deal with so that's 740 different labels and when you have to scale the map to fit your whole parish, then labels disappear or start overlapping. Then when you try and make the font smaller, they become not readable at that scale. I feel your pain.

I just made me an annotation feature class for street labels. Just have to remember to add the new street label to the annotation whenever a new street is created.

Is there a way to hide an element within a dashboard? For example, in the Capital Projects Tracking dashboard, the Projects Details element contains the same information shown in the popup. Therefore, the Project Details element is not needed in the dashboard. But if I delete it then the popup disappears so deleting this element is not what I want. So I am looking for a way to hide it. Is this possible?

Hi EH_Alaska, Thanks for the rply! I've solved the issue that led to this thread but I've encountered some other issues concerning getting one element to read data from another element and update based on the number of projects displayed. Such as the Project Count element displaying the number of Current Projects for a specific category. It seems to be displaying the number of projects in the field of view of the web map. I'm sure I'm having these issues bc it's my first time creating a dashboard. Thanks for your help.

Let me preface this thread by saying I have never created a dashboard before. In googling and browsing the ESRI forums and such, I came across the Capital Project Tracking solution dashboard that does basically what I am trying to accomplish. So, I started messing around with it and getting used to how it works. Now I have decided to use this as a template for the dashboard I want to do and have been configuring it with my information. But in configuring it, I have noticed that when I select a category from the Type section, the Active Project section quit updating based on the Type category I selected. This was updating when I first started configuring it. So, my question is what configuration setting in the Type pane controls what Active Project shows up? Ex. If I select Facilities, all the Project with a Project Type of Facilities should display.

Why can't you just make your Lat/Long fields Double instead of String? Or does it have to be String?

If I export to FGDB will that still allow me to use that feature service for feature collection? Because I am trying to use the feature service for data collection in the field
