Yes I have preconditions set to the last variable in the first step. I think the reason the model stops is because the first step takes the shapefile out the map while it is running and the second step won't start unless the shapefile is in the map. I am trying to get the model to run through each step on its own without me having to babysit it and put the layer back in the map after each step

I have created 3 models in mobelbuilder to accomplish one task. However I would like to do away with the 3 separate models and just combine all into one model. The problem I am having is I can't get the second part of the model to work unless I add the shapefile I edited in the first part of the model back into the map. The message it is giving me is 'All inputs are not current'. I am trying to use the Select Layer by Attribute tool. How can I keep all inputs current so the model doesn't quit after the first step? I zipped up every file within the .gdb file in Windows Explorer. I was able to talk to someone yesterday who told me you have to include the .gdb file in the zipped file for it to work, which I didn't Scott

the gdbindex, gdbtable, gdbtablx, etc. files. I have have never emailed a zipped up feature class before. I have zipped it up but when you click on it in Windows Explorer you get all these table files and index files. How can you convert those files back to a feature class so I can import them back into a file geodatabase.

Hi Michael, I created my 4in and 9in mosaic datasets from individual raster datasets but I never merged the raster datasets together to eliminate the multiple rows of each raster dataset. Is it good to have all these raster datasets 'Merged' together in the mosaic dataset?

I have a 4 in mosaic dataset and a 9 in mosaic dataset but would like to have this as 1 whole dataset instead of 2 separate datasets. Could you merge these two together with the Create Mosaic Dataset geoprocessing tool?

Where can I download SQL Server Client from. I need to make a database connection to our SDE connection and I keep getting the error message. 'Failed to connect to the specified server. Connection was attempted with an older version of SQL Server Client communications software that is not supported.' Whenever I try to expand an .xlsx file in ArcCatalog to bring into ArcMap to do a join, ArcMap gives the error 'Failed to connect to database. An underlying error occurred. Class not registered.' So I searched the ESRI forums for a solution to this and found I need to install a 2007 Microsoft driver but when I click on the link to take me to the download page it says. Sorry Page does not exist anymore. Can someone point me to the correct webpage where I can download this driver? Thanks, Scott
