Make sure that : The Erase feature is totally within Input feature. You can use intersect tool for the two feature classes and check geometry area. Finally calculate the area for Erased feature or intersect feature according to same projection along with input feature and erase feature and data frame.

I think there are two method to do that symbology Frist method ( recommended 😞 1- Add New field to your attribute table . 2- Select by attribute for records that "date is over 1 year ago" / "within 1 year" / Null 3- Calculate new field with unique value for each selection. 4-Use that field in symbology. Second method: 1- Add your layer in TOC 3 times 2- Make a definition query for each layer with unique group as you want "date is over 1 year ago" / "within 1 year" / Null (each layer has different expression) 3- Symbolize each layer manual.

I have two questions. First, Are you sure that your attribute table has records of roads in the range from 10 to 40 meter? Second, What is your steps to create reclassify layer?

Make your example clear , How floors number changed according to cut work? I think you want to count number of floors in specific area, isn't that? you can do that using select by location with intersect method you can do that in model builder then add Summary Statistics or Field Calculator for each cut work group and you will use iterator for running all steps to each selection group.

No Zhi Zuo , this is the weighted according to your Expression: Do it manual and you will see that the zero is logical number according to previous Expression First select by location for temp90 that with in a distance 100 km for any Arizona centroid as the following picture: Then, calculate a distance for a round points using Near tool as the following picture: Now, add field (Double) and calculate the square of the inverse distance as you and Dan agree 1 /( distance * distance ) and it will be so small number close to zero , so ArcGIS write it in the field as zero look for the picture: so it is so logical that if you multiply Zero for Temperature value will equal zero too.

If you want classifying a raster , don't use Unique Values (as in the picture below ) unique values will give each cell value a color and any cell that has same value, and you will have thousands of colors. that not classify. Using Stretched (recommended) or classify a raster using Classified , and you will have to use a method to class the range of values ( don't let classes to be over than 10 class )

Yes that logically for vector, look to Ryan Coodey Question,Dan. " Trying to generalize some 3D lines" is line Raster ?????? about cell size when you get elevation from survey points , you shouldn't waste any one of them for example, If I have 5 survey points in one meter square and adjust my cell size to 1 meter , that is meaning wasting for survey. you should make your cell size not have more than one point ( In 3d modeling application). So you should be carious for cell size and make it small enough to don't contain more than one point, and it will make the Lines smooth as far as survey enables us. I'm not talking about dividing a cell pixel after creation a raster or increase pixels without varies data, Dan because its output will be same pixel value and we will not see a difference.
