Royce - there's a related BUG that may explain what you're seeing: BUG-000087025 : If an .adf file has the name of “arc” then ArcGIS Pro will not be able to index the folder containing the arc.adf file.

I found something on the Support Services area and believe it to be a bug: Folders not appearing in ArcGIS Pro project list BUG-000103021 A folder is invisible to ArcGIS Pro if it contains a 'segments.gen' file. The issue seems specific to a file called segments.gen, as other names do not cause the issue. A gen file is a legacy file type that ArcINFO uses to generate points, however it also looks like specifically 'segments.gen' is also related to the Apache Lucene search engine library: Understanding lucene segments - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/17622732/understanding-lucene-segments. In case 01941861, it was found that segments.gen is actually a file created by ArcGIS Pro itself - usually in this location \<ProjectName>\Index\<ProjectName>\segments.gen. However in this case the file was created at the root of the folder containing the project itself. This seemed to be a unique situation for a particular project.

Or if you want just the Layout to rotate, then go the Layout Properties and you'll see a Rotate there as well.

I guess you could go to the Manufacturers website, search for your driver make/model and see what the timestamp is to verify.

You could go this route I suppose. On Properties, does it indicate the driver is 2017 vintage? Mine would say 2014 even after I did your workflow.

Hi Scott - first I have to mention I'm not a Python guru but have a suggestion or two to investigate based upon my research. First, you may want to run the "Analyze Tools for Pro" GP tool either in ArcMap or Pro. The GP tool will test your Python script to see if it will run in Python 3.5.2 (Pro's version of Python) and write a text file out to troubleshoot. Second, I haven't seen a bug mentioning the error codes but there was a suggestion to put a time.sleep() into your code for asynchronous processes. Refresh the folder. Does the LOCK remain? Pls advise.

Dan - I have a question to the Pro Team about the AOI tool from ArcScene and the 2.0 release now and awaiting replies. In the meantime, I'm currently working with an early version of 2.0 but believe I have a workaround for you. If you go into the 3D Map Properties, click the Extent item. From there, define a custom extent based upon a current visible extent, a layer or define Top/Bottom/Left/Right coordinates. Once the custom extent is defined, click the "Clip layers to extent" option. This will clip those 2D/3D layers not in the extent. The only items to draw will be those objects in the Custom Extent. Update: Workflow from ArcGIS Pro Team - the interactive AOI tool is not in ArcGIS Pro 2.0 and is not currently planned for 2.1. However, the almost equivalent workflow is: Make sure scene in in Local View Mode Press "N" and "P" (for north and perpendicular) so camera is pointing straight down. Pan/navigate to your AOI. Open the Map Properties dialog On the "Extent" tab Choose the custom extent radio button Choose the current visible extent option in the drop down list Check on the clip layers to extent checkbox Click OK.

Andy - anytime we see unusual crashes, the first thing recommended is to upgrade one's video card driver. Go to Device Manager->Display Adapters and jot down the make/model of your video card. From there, go directly to the manufacturers website and download the latest driver from them. Windows Update will not update the latest driver for your video card. Once downloaded, install the new driver, reboot the computer and follow your workflow that causes Pro to crash. Is the result still the same? Pls advise.

Randy - it would seem that all ArcGIS maintained fields for the Configure Layer for Locate options are missing. You could add a new field to your feature class attribute table and calculate the new field by the ObjectID. Then you could configure the Locate to search on that field.

In Pro 1.4.1 - "Tile packages (TPK) can be created in ArcGIS Pro ( supported as inputs and outputs in geo-processing tools) but not opened or added to an ArcGIS Pro project. What can and cannot be opened in ArcGIS Pro is listed here http://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/projects/supported-data-types-and-items.htm However you can inspect the created tile package (TPK) by extracting it using the Extract Package (Data Management) tool in ArcGIS Pro." Not sure if this will change in ArcGIS Pro 2.0.

Interesting question - I'm working on the BETA 2.0 of ArcGIS Pro 2.0 and do not see this when applying a Unique Values symbology. There are quite a few ideas on ArcGIS Ideas with symbol ideas - https://community.esri.com/community/arcgis-ideas/content?query=unique+symbol - I'd recommend you add a new ArcGIS Idea for this functionality.

You could create a layer file from an existing layer in Pro and apply that layer file using the "Apply Symbology from Layer" GP tool.

Hi John - so a mixed response here. I'm working with an early BETA of ArcGIS Pro 2.0 and the V shortcut for vertexes is not there in my release. It might be in the Final 2.0 but I don't know for sure. With regard to tracing, yes this is supported in 2.0 BETA.

Adding to the list of things that make an enjoyable UC experience: If you're looking to save some money on food, pick up groceries from Ralphs on the SE corner of G Street and 1st Ave. Be sure your hotel room has a refrigerator in the room as some hotels have refrigerators on a request only basis. If you're a walker/runner, walk/run first thing in the morning! The paths by the marina, embarcadero's all the way to the Midway/airport make for a great way to start your day. You'll see fellow conference attendees and Esri employees getting a head start on their day. Besides after a day of conferencing, there are many events to attend! Dinner in the Gas Lamp District is great but crowded. Walk or take the train to Little Italy. This area has an eclectic mix of cuisines. Don't worry about a rental car! Take a taxi, SuperShuttle, Uber, etc. from the airport to your hotel. Sadly the San Diego Padres are out of town conference week but catching a game is a fun post conference day thing to do to unwind. Tour the Midway!
