If you're looking to update asset attributes you'll likely want to join the data from the field to some feature class in your enterprise geodatabase and then use the Field Calculator. The main difference between how you interact with Hosted Feature Services is whether the data can be edited directly in your desktop program or not: To view the data in ArcMap: Open ArcMap and log into ArcGIS Online using the Sign In option here: Once you've signed in, you'll see your Hosted Feature Services in Catalog, like this (obviously your services will be named something else) Then you can join and use the Field Calculator to update your asset information. If using Pro just connect to your Portal or AGO and then add the data to your Contents pane, same idea as above. Does this make sense? Please let me know if you have any further questions.

I've got an Operations Dashboard with a web map, and a Category Selector pointing to ~12k point features spread across the City of Fort Collins. The Category Selector is configured to filter the data by subtype. I'd like the map in the dashboard to pan and zoom to the filtered features as I change subtypes using the Category Selector. Unfortunately, I don't see the map as a target here on the Category Selector, I only see the other dashboard elements: I feel like I'm missing a simple step somewhere since I can't figure out how to get the map to pan and zoom as I filter the data...any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't believe you can do what you're trying to accomplish with data in a .gdb, but of course I may be wrong. When I need to do something like this I will migrate the data to the enterprise database and have the administrator help me with the SQL and then schedule the join / update to run on some regular schedule.

Oracle is an enterprise database (and Database Management System), and a DBA is the DataBase Administrator. Do you have your data in an enterprise database, or is it in a file geodatabase (.gdb)?

This sounds like a great project for SQL - you're doing a 1:M join and then some calculations. I'm not the right guy to provide you the syntax, but I'd look to my Oracle DBA to help solve this one...

I'd start here - NOAA Shoreline Website, I see that they do indeed have shoreline vector data, it's split into the following groups: Clicking on any of the links brings you to the corresponding USGS page with the data download link: Hope this helps.

It would be great if Survey123 could be used to gather information without a GeoPoint. We're using the custom URL scheme to pass unique IDs from Collector into Survey for inspections. Each time our crew completes the inspection they're creating new features on or near the actual feature. I'd rather Survey just capture the tabular data and not the point.

Have you considered passing the data to Survey123 using the Custom URL Scheme? I have a similar workflow where our Streetlight crew clicks on an existing Streetlight to create a work order. The unique ID of the Streetlight is passed from Collector into Survey and the crew adds any information they need in Survey. You can pass any information already present in the feature class from Collector to Survey. Would this work for you? I realize it's not a true relationship class, but you could always create the relationship using your manhole unique IDs. The only limitation I've found with this workflow is that Survey always creates a new point regardless if you specify a geopoint type in the XLSForm. It would be great if Esri delivered a Survey that behaved like a table without the need to gather points each time...

Like Derek mentioned above, editing is part of Collector. If you disable editing on all of the layers in the web map then the web map won't even appear in the Collector list of maps. Here's a simple workaround if you still want them to use Collector instead of Explorer: Publish your feature service(s) with a relationship class and a table. Make the table editable but remove editing permissions from your features.

Sadly no. What I discovered was that since we're using AD authentication with SAML, I'm unable to access hosted feature services in our organization via the Python API. Once I realized this, I simply gave up. This is a known limitation.

When running the Pivot Table tool, I end up with blanks (" ") instead of NULLs. I'm curious if this is the expected behavior of the tool, or if I'm missing some setting somewhere. This is a problem because the next step in this workflow is to calculate Summary Statistics (Count) of values in each of these fields, and Count treats blanks as valid values. I realize I can loop through all the fields and change the blanks to NULLs and will do this as a last resort. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
