Hey Kyle, I just want to run a quick test by you to see if you might have a proxy on your LAN/Ethernet. 1. Open IE . 2. Choose tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN settings. 3. Do you see your Proxy Server checked as follows: "Use a proxy server for your LAN" followed by an address and a port number? If that's the case then, we would have to configure a proxy.js page that gets shipped along with the story maps zip file. Thanks, Aravind

Is there perhaps a need to also add a proxy.ashx page to their amazon instance?

Hi Deanna, Thanks for sending it. So, here was my workflow that I performed: 1. When I create a new web app from the Web AppBuilder online, save it, return back to My Content I can see that it has the following setting: 2. The only way the code attachment reverts back to "None" like that is if "Remove" was used to remove the code for the app attached. 3. Fortunately, this is not irreversible. 4. Once you remove the code attachment, you will find an option to 5. If you click on it, you will get the following dialog: 6. Search for the Zip file to the web app that you use to host on a web server or computer. 7. Upload the zip file and you will find that the code attachment returns back to Tracts for GP App. (Note: This is only if you save a local copy of the web app, initially.) 8. If you haven't saved the zip file before clicking remove, the only way to bring back the download link is to make a copy of the app by editing the application, click "Save As" and the new App-copy item details should have the "download" link again. Let me know if you have any questions on this.

Hi Deanna, It would be very helpful if you can share a screenshot of two web apps created using Web AppBuilder online that show inconsistent options. I am trying to test a case situation here as well. Thanks, Aravind

Hi Deanna, Just to add to Rickey's comment, web applications built by Web AppBuilder Online contain "Download" option. The only reason the download doesn't appear in the other application is probably because it was built using one of the default viewer or story maps applications. These ready-to-use applications usually provide the option to let you download them to your computer initially. Thanks, Aravind

The following are my GP service model parameters and how the model looks in Desktop. I was able to get the service to work in WAB 1.3 developer version. GP widget parameters: 1. Input - (notice i have "selecting layer from the map") 2. Geometry properties - (I think this window might be missing for you) 3. Temporary output written on top of the input data How the model looks in Desktop in ModelBuilder 1. Add a "Feature Set" variable into modelbuilder. 2. AddGeometryAttributes tool is dragged into it. 3. Right click on the tool and click "Make Parameter by value - Geometry properties". 4. Add a sample feature layer into the "Feature Set" variable. 5. Select a geometry property to be added as attribute. 6. Go ahead and run this tool. 7. Share the result as GP service. Under parameters, look for the name of the "feature layer" and choose "Choice list". 8. Publish the GP service. 9. Modify the GP widget according to the three pictures from top. 10. Run the tool. Let me know if that works!

Hi Charles, Thanks for the reply! I think the .png file you have attached did the trick. It seems like the GP service you run doesn't seem to apply for the parameter for AREA_GEODESIC for the data that you have chosen from the web app. Every data/layer has a different set of parameters to plug into for the AddGeometryAttributes tool. Is there a model parameter for selecting the members of AddGeometryAttributes like "Area", "Length", "Centroid", etc? This might help. However, I would like to know about how you setup the GP service.

Hello Charley, I have a couple of questions on your workflow: 1. I ran the AddGeometry Attributes tool in Desktop to a feature class. 2. Opened the results window and published the result as a GP service to ArcGIS Server. 3. Brought that URL in and shared it to my ArcGIS Online account. 4. Used that as an item in the GP widget in WAB 1.2 developer version. 5. While editing the item details, I cannot seem to select or make the tool show up the layer list of the web map or have it as a selection in the dialog as you have mentioned. For that to appear, did you have a model built in ModelBuilder? There seems to be a step that I am missing here. But here's a workflow I would recommend. 1. Build the following model in ModelBuilder. 2. This is how the tool would like: 3. You can add Length and Area units if you would like as model parameters in order to show up. 4. Run the model with a data input in Desktop. 5. Share the result as GP service in Server and share it to ArcGIS Online. NOTE: You will now note that it doesn't display all of the layers in the layerlist in the web app developer version now. Geoprocessing services are designed to only work on a specific output schema, i.e. if you choose a point as the input in the tool and run the model, it gives out an output point schema. This makes it unchangeable and cannot be made dynamic in the web app based on what input you provide. Therefore, if you have a polygon input in the WAB, the symbology will be hard to display since drawing a polygon as a point isn't very effective.

Heather, here are some following documentation on what you have requested: 1. To publish CSVs, Shapefiles or GeoJSON file formats: Publish features—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS 2. To publish shapefiles or file geodatabases or any of the above mentioned formats from Desktop to Online: Publish a hosted feature service from ArcGIS for Desktop | ArcGIS Video Please let me know if you would like to know anything else. Thanks, Aravind

Yes! I have a country.shp file that I published as a hosted feature service from Desktop to ArcGIS Online. Used it in an ArcGIS Online web map and then built a web app from the map. I went back to the source data on ArcMap, deleted a country and then overwrote the service to ArcGIS Online. When i refreshed/reopened the web app again, i found that the country was deleted and the Attribute table opens and I can click on the "Configure Attribute Table" to see that it still has that shapefile as a layer to be visible or invisible.

Sorry for the delay in my response, Heather. I performed your workflow and it seems like it works properly on the data that I have. I updated the data and the web appbuilder picks up the new feature layer without having to remove or modify the attribute table widget. Which brings me to the question of what data causes this issue. So can you give me some idea on what are some of the properties and fields set on your data? Does it have coded values and domains?
