Yes! I have a country.shp file that I published as a hosted feature service from Desktop to ArcGIS Online. Used it in an ArcGIS Online web map and then built a web app from the map. I went back to the source data on ArcMap, deleted a country and then overwrote the service to ArcGIS Online. When i refreshed/reopened the web app again, i found that the country was deleted and the Attribute table opens and I can click on the "Configure Attribute Table" to see that it still has that shapefile as a layer to be visible or invisible. ... Sorry for the delay in my response, Heather. I performed your workflow and it seems like it works properly on the data that I have. I updated the data and the web appbuilder picks up the new feature layer without having to remove or modify the attribute table widget. Which brings me to the question of what data causes this issue. Can you right click anywhere on the map and choose "Inspect" under the options to open up a bar on your right or below the screen. Choose "Console" and can you take a screenshot of the errors that appear"? ... View more

Is the "Development" layer a hosted or published feature service? If not, is it a map service? Can you try to reload the web map in the web application by choosing the same web map? Is the web map saved? Additionally, I have seen this issue occur for mixed content. Is your layer http or https? and incidentally, is the URL to the application: HTTP or HTTPS? ... View more

My best guess is that there are 2 signininfo.json files with the same AppID and URLs and ArcGIS Online is confused on what its getting itself registered to. Can you go into the folder of 1.2, Server -> Signininfo.json file and change the AppID in there to "xxxxxxx" and save it and reopen the 1.3 application again? ... View more

Brain,    Are you trying to import it back into 1.2 or 1.3? DOWNLOAD Web App from server. ZIP entire structure to ZIP file. Try to import. Nada... 1. It is possible to import a 1.2 version web app into WAB 1.3 because the app automatically upgrades itself. 2. I was able to reproduce this issue only when I imported a zip file that didn't have contents of the WAB in it at all. E.g: some random zip file from my computer. Do you have any custom widgets in the app? This is where I think the issue is. Some form of inequivalent theme/widget/credentials that the web app used that doesn't match WAB 1.3 version that you have. ... View more

Hi Brain, To Import an existing web app from your Server to WAB 1.3, this is what you do. Choose the zip file of the folder in your web server as Robert mentioned and import it into the WAB account. Hi Lee, I was able to create an ArcGIS Online webmap with two layers in it. I chose "Hide in Legend" setting on one layer and chose to apply the other layer to show in legend. When i created a new web app, i was able to get only one layer to show in the legend widget in web appbuilder. I am not sure where you are getting it wrong. Could you give me an idea of your machine configuration? If you are using ArcGIS Server in one machine and SQL Server in another, then the SQL Server is not trusting the account associated with ArcGIS Server. So, i would suggest that you modify the local ArcGIS User account into a domain account and then add that as a user to the database you want to map to. Please let us know if that works for you! ...
