No, the client ID and secret generated (which is part of your ArcGIS Online Organization's content page) should work for routing.arcgis.com, traffic.arcgis.com and logistics.arcgis.com. You have to call each of the above mentioned URLs in proxy.config page and in config.json proxy rule at the end.

Curious, but Cort, what security is used in Portal? I.e. Is it a built-in named user or windows credentials or SAML (ADFS)?

Yes, you can use Portal for ArcGIS. But, Portal has a limited set of named users (10) if it's workgroup and unlimited, if you have Enterprise license.

Okay Dave, Can you do the following: As admin go to organization settings > security. See if "allow access to organization through HTTPS" is checked on. Can you turn this off temporarily and see if feature search appears?

Hi Matthew, This is the interface you get when you first share a vector tile package from ArcGIS Pro to Portal for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online. Notice that there's a little icon on the far right that says "Update". Click on that and it asks you to browse to the ".vtpk" package file with the same name as the name used to upload initially. When you make changes to the vector layers in ArcGIS Pro for updating, save it to the same name and same location and upload this tile package back again. Once it's finished, click on "Publish" once again. If the name of the tile package is the same, it then should create a URL with the same service for vector tiles as existed previously. I think this is by the far the cleanest workflow to overwrite an existing vector tile service. I have not tried this yet, but I am going to.

Yes. Added to the above information is the fact that you get 10 named users in Portal if it's workgroup. http://www.esri.com/~/media/files/pdfs/library/brochures/pdfs/arcgis-server-functionality-matrix.pdf Page - 6

BUG-000086539 - When Portal for ArcGIS is federated with ArcGIS for Server, signing into the REST API administrative endpoint with a portal token displays the administrator username as ‘0123456789ABCDEF::’. I know this happens when Portal and Server is federated. But it seems like in your case, this is interesting.

Hi Matthew, Sorry for the delay. So the workflow is, when you author the map document, you can prepare the vector layers on top as a Vector Tile Package (mentioning tiling format and cached scales). You then share this as a vector tile package (.vtpk) format to Portal or ArcGIS Online. This package appears as an item, which you then publish in ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS. Are vector tiles similar to hosted tile layers on ArcGIS Online where a tile package is unpacked and a tile layer is created from that package, which produces a unique URL to the service hosted on AGOL? You are right. That's exactly what happens. I am not entirely sure if there's an "overwrite to existing tile package" workflow that currently exists. But I get that it could mean you would have to modify the web map, web app, etc. accordingly whenever you make changes to this vector tile in ArcGIS Pro. I'll try to see if i can source for more information regarding this! Thanks, Aravind

Hi Ed, Can you let me know if you can do the following: 1. Create a web app in Portal as just an "application" instead of "web mapping". 2. When the application is created and it opens item details, you will find the REGISTER link. 3. However you would need to add the URL to your web application using "EDIT" and then save it, so it is registered to this web app URL. Regards, Aravind
