Esri has nice documentation on the various user types, roles, and privileges including a few well defined tables. I was wondering if there is a table out there or one that someone has created that uses the identical information found in the custom role configuring interface but has check marks for the ones that are considered part of the default role. I have read through this guidance; User types, roles, and privileges—ArcGIS Online Help | Documentation Of which does help but it would great if there was something to make it easier to decide whether it is best to create a custom role or just move the user to a different default role or user type. If it is only a toggle or two and not really detrimental to the organization, I would just move them up instead of creating a custom roles for no reason. Thanks in advance!!

Lots of good information and I read through a great deal of them but found nothing specific to the labeling issue. I also searched for the same issue in the GeoNet. Sometimes I get lucky and can find exactly what I need, sometimes not............ Guess that is why there is Esri support. Thanks Peter.

Also, sorry for possible confusion, snapping does not work when attempting to move line-work to a revised point geometry.

Greetings! When I open my maps in the classic map viewer my labels, set to appear at 1:5,000, all appear as designed. I open the same maps in the beta view and labels do not appear. Label settings in the beta are set the same as in classic and the labeling is toggled on. What am I doing wrong? I was hoping to begin migration of my workflows to beta but.................. Also, unrelated but related to beta; How does the snapping work? Ctrl or shift do nothing.

So, it appears that our field staff are very resourceful and have identified workflows in the Collector app, or at least the iOS platform that allow them to send the sync error to whomever they choose. When a sync fails it is identified in red font, tap the more options button, select the View Sync Error button, at the top right of the popup dialog box that shows the error info is the upload button, select that, which opens another dialog box that provides various options, one of which is to email the sync error to whomever. And there you have it! Viola!!!

Right?? I have and do use webhooks in Survey 123 to notify me when there has been a new entry but that is about the extent of my experience with web to email notifications. Hope some or at least one of the gurus has input to this question. The Esri application resources are great but exhausting when looking for something specific.

This is a really neat feature as it gives me a heads up on field issues, but have no idea how this ever was set up and why none of the other devices we have in the field do not do the same. I have obviously toggled some obscure feature on in one of the various apps, online, the iPad, in Collector but cannot find it. Any ideas??????

Collector iOS version 20.2.1 will not let us set a profile. It auto toggles two choices for GNSS coordinates and Map coordinates, then states there is no transformation available. Have crews in the field!!!!

Thanks Joshua! I will do just that. Strange how it ran before. I will have to look at the scripting above this cell and see if something is causing the error from what is included above. I will post in a few days whether I figure it out or need more of your expertise.

Thanks Joshua! I think I corrected to reflect your guidance. Now I am getting a new error. What is funny in the below script, it ran right the first time except if failed to download or delete any of the FGDB's because I misspelled the folder name. I corrected that and now the exact same script fails. I tried in the API for Python Jupyter Notebook and also in the AGOL Notebook. Same error both places. I also went into the Folder to delete the fgdb's created the first run, just so I did not have a naming conflict.

Greetings! As a novice, struggling at the beginning. I am using Notebooks to query an AGOL group for specific Feature Services within that group. I have had great guidance so far an am entirely able to retrieve all of My Contents Feature Services but only want to acquire those by a group for download. My is occurs early on in the query and I receive the above titled SyntaxError. I have tried rearranging the code contents but still have errors; I just received, EOL while scanning string literal. Here is the code that is throwing the title Syntax Error; items = gis.content.search(query='type:"Feature Service", group:{f3ec2a4f85ce4d7fbca092ad679dfa88}' .format(group.id), max_items=1000, display(items)) File "<ipython-input-5-fe5f4b045dfc>", line 1 items = gis.content.search(query='type:"Feature Service", group:{f3ec2a4f85ce4d7fbca092ad679dfa88}'.format(group.id), max_items=1000, display(items)) ^ SyntaxError: positional argument follows keyword argument

Awesome response James! I will give it a whirl. And thank you for the link and especially, the prompt response. If i run into any issues I will post again. Is there a particular group in GeoNet that I should be following for guidance using Notebooks?

Greetings Peter! Adam and I work together in multiple AGOL environments. Great to see he reached out. I have followed your guidance for the ArcGIS API for Python to back up hosted feature services and it worked great, except I don't want all of my entire contents to download. I am struggling with the script to make it perform that exact workflow but only with features services in a particular AGOL folder and/or group. I tried; items = gis.content.search(query="type:Feature Service, owner:Username, group:Group Name", max_items=1000,) display(items)
&
items = gis.content.search(query="type:Feature Service, owner:Username, folder:Folder Name", max_items=1000,) display(items)
Both run but return no results. I know it is something simple. Where can i find the correct naming conventions to have it query just a folder or group. Or do i need a new line of code in conjunction will yours?
All are owned by me.
Thanks,

Jean-Yves, First and foremost, thank you for running a investigative workflow. I am now more concerned with the Android devices and unfortunately, the staff interface. We will keep you posted on our progress, or the lack thereof. Thanks again!

Hi, So our worst experience was with the Android Collector beta and the SXBlue units. I can complete the support form for the minor errors we received using the Android-Arrow 100 but they were not substantial enough to cause re-collection of the points. I think I will just hold off with support until I can verify it happening again. Currently our workflows will be changed to just using iOS exclusively for the Collector interface. At least that way we can rule out one factor - the Android Collector beta. Thank you for your response!
