If I am correct in assuming the "crowd" will be an external source - then there are two avenues you may pursue: 1) Without system work: have one ArcGIS Online named user for an organizational account. Have that ArcGIS Online user create the crowdsource feature service and make it public. The portal admin (no clear avenue of instruction here. Depending on your organizational infrastructure and protocol you might need to do several things including whitelisting the URL) will then add this item to the portal to make it available internally. This will consume ArcGIS Online credits for storage from your ArcGIS Online organizational account, but this should be marginal. There are resources for calculating item storage costs. 2) You will need to do a little system work. The easiest would be to deploy an additional webadapter in your DMZ to make a REST service available to external parties outside your network. Use that for accessing the crowdsource feature service externally, but keep everything else secure.

If you aren't restricted to only AGSMapview: You could create an editable feature layer of a polyline shapefile. Make this the only editable layer and use Collector for ArcGIS or an ArcGIS Online Web App with editor tool. Collector will work with iOS (compatible with iOS 8 or later: Collector for ArcGIS | ArcGIS and the web app will work on any HTML5 browser.

If you have a 3d analyst license then you should be able import certain rules packages from cityengine when using the command "import arcpy" at the beginning of the script. I am unsure if this includes the full library of cityengine procedures, however, due to cityengine using jython not python. example on importing rules: Features From CityEngine Rules—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

This is a field that I am directly involved in. You could have each municipality purchase their own ArcGIS Online Organization and as many user packs as they require, and then have a "shared" group between your ArcGIS Online org and theirs. Sharing Between ArcGIS Online Organizations · Esri/developer-support Wiki · GitHub Shared groups require both parties to have ArcGIS Online organization accounts. This is a much cheaper option versus other solutions with similar outcomes, and it opens the whole suite of ESRI mobile apps to the municipalities as well as being in-line with ESRI licensing.

Ah, I apologize for misunderstanding. I thought the goal was to get it out to a web view. Hopefully someone with more Pro knowledge will step in.

Hi Jørn, The easiest way to accomplish this is to use City Engine. When you import your GDB look in the ESRI.lib folder under rules and then under plants drag and drop the trees onto the points (I'm assuming that is what you used in this procedure). You will have a lot more options for customizing here than in Pro currently. When done, CTRL+E and select web scene. Hope this helps.

Hi Tanya, You can't remove basemaps - you can only replace a basemap with another basemap. If you select another one it will replace the living atlas layer. Hope that helps!

Hi Adam, To commit the action of the tool you must click on the end node twice before moving on. Most of our editing tools that support similar editing processes work in this way. If you only click once and then click another node it will continue the edit. Hope this helps.

Hi, CityEngine can do this, but wireframe meshes are not supported by pro yet. Off the top of my head you could try altering the opacity of the object to differentiate them visually. Hope this helps.

For the direct addition/editing of these addtional geometry types, yes. - Collector is your only option for an out of the box app. If you want to get fancy and keep the forms here is some food for thought: Solution 1: Collect surveys using Survey123 take the data collected and have it update geometries either manually or automated with spatial joins. Solution 2: Create a custom web app using web app builder for ArcGIS - you would need to create the feature service with ALL fields but you could simply allow for null fields and not fill in applicable fields during the survey. This would utilize the editor widget. note: this solution will not work disconnected.

In a nutshell: Survey123 is ideal for formed based data. It allows for "nested" options so if the answer to one question prompts additional questions or changes the form then this would be ideal. It is important to note that Survey123 is all about collecting NEW data and not editing or updating existing data. Collector for ArcGIS is for the collection/editing of map data from the field. This is not to say Survey123 does not add data to a map (that is its primary function after all!), but Collector allows for the updating and changing of polygons, lines, points, etc. whereas Survey123 is limited to collecting points specific to predefined surveys. More info here: Survey123, Collector and GeoForm (a quick comparison)
