Hi Daniel, Are you trying to get a summary on what kind of data residing in a feature class? Or you want a quick visual look at the data? If it is the latter, you can always use the preview tab in ArcCatalog, and it will show you the data as points, polyline or polygon based on the geometry type of the feature class and in addition it gives an option to check out the attribute data as well. If you are using ArcGIS Pro, then you can do the same from within your project , by adding the Catalog View from View Tab.

Hi Phil, It seems once you specifically mark a layer for “Make this the only selectable layer”, you might end up having to manually toggle on selection for the rest of the layers. However, assuming you have quite a few layers in the TOC, you can simply switch over to the “List by Selection” tab and select the first layer that have selection toggled off and then scroll down to the last layer in the TOC and Press Shift and select the last layer in the TOC and it will toggle on selection. This way you do not end up having to select each layer and can switch toggle on/off on layers. In case you want to toggle on/off selection on specific layers you can replace the Shift key with Control key and follow the rest of the process.

Similar issues were logged in the past couple of days, seems to be a recurring issue. https://community.esri.com/t5/esri-training-questions/training-site-does-not-work/m-p/1049154#M1106 https://community.esri.com/t5/esri-training-questions/training-site-down/m-p/1049259#M1120

Hello Ross, Are you using just the ArcGIS Sever separately of have you configure ArcGIS Enterprise as a whole? If you have Enterprise setup for you, you can use the Excel and publish the service to your Portal for ArcGIS and it should dynamically update service as the spreadsheet is updated. In one of my previous projects, we had a similar issue where the search would not work as we had expected. Unfortunately, due to time crunch we ended up using the Elastic Search which gave us much more desired results. You can read up on that if you wish. While we were trying to resolve the issue at the time, we did learn that the World Geocode service is a Composite Address Locator service which is basically a combination of many Address locators at the backend. Additionally, we did look up at quite a few options that ArcGIS provide that would surely enhance and enrich the user experience. Few of the parameters would include Address Locator Style, Reference tables & Alternate Tables, Match Score and Suggest. In our case we were building a custom address locator and I would say we met up to 80% of the client requirement with just playing around with these options. You may refer to the links below which might be helpful. Tips for improving geocoding performance Tips for improving geocoding quality Additional tuning options Composite locator tuning tips

I tried to create a few points and did not use the save option in the edit ribbon, but I am still able to view the features when I zoom in/out. Without the test scenarios I mentioned in my first response it can be difficult to pinpoint the root cause of the issue, as the symptoms may vary from user to user.

Upgrading to the latest version of ArcGIS Pro is usually a good move as they resolve and implement a lot of Bugs and enhancements for the older versions. Additionally, I wanted to check if you set any Display layers at certain scales to the feature class in the Table of contents?

I am not an expert in Python but perhaps you can help to understand what is that you are exactly trying to achieve here. Are you trying to bring multiple shapefiles into a single feature class or you want one feature class for each shapefile? If you wish to do perform the latter then you are better off using the Feature Class to Geodatabase tool. This tool is basically designed to work on batches of data that need to be migrated into a geodatabase. If you open the link you should be able to see the Python snippet for the same.

What version of ArcGIS Pro you running? The current version is 2.9.1. Does the data reside in a personal geodatabase or file geodatabase or enterprise? Does the issue replicate on a new project file? Run the Check Geometry from the ArcToollBox to see if there are any geometrical issues like self-intersection and such. The tool will generate a non-spatial table with the list of issue if any. Then you can execute the Repair Geometry tool to fix the issues. Try to use the Feature class to Feature class tool from the ArcToollBox, this used to be an issue at times back when we used to use ArcGIS Desktop. The Spatial Index of the data would get corrupted or sometimes the software would not be able to read it, so using the tool would create a new feature class with a new spatial index. I hope this helps!

I need you to confirm something for me so that we can try and narrow down the issue. Basically, what I am wanting to know if you can see A. (if you see this that means you are using a Personal ArcGIS Online account) OR B. (if you see this that means you are using a ArcGIS Online Organizational account) The reason I ask for this is cause if this is a public account then you might not be able to publish datasets to the account You may refer the Esri document https://esri-es.github.io/awesome-arcgis/arcgis/account-types/#arcgis-online-organization-account-arcgiscom In addition to this, if your account is indeed an ArcGIS Organizational account you can see your Organizational account's subscription ID and status of the account by simply clicking to the Organization tab, this is another way to confirm if your account is a public one or not. A public account will not have a subscription ID. However, in case your Organizational account status is "suspended" that might suggest the following: Your Organizational account has expired, and your Company's point of contact needs to get in touch with Esri Rep and get it renewed. Your Organizational account has run out of credits and our Company's point of contact needs to get in touch with Esri Rep and get more credits on the account. I hope this helps! ~Shan

Mohamed, I have been working with Esri products almost my entire carrier, I understand that the cost incurred in the process of procuring and maintenance is a bit higher that open source products. Rest assured the amount of assistance you'll receive from Esri Technical support is way more than any other GIS products will ever give. That being said, could you give an idea of what kind of project you are planning on so that we could find you the best suited products? ~Shan
