The checkbox for show map on home page doesn't work. It shows the map whether or not it's checked. Also, there is a difference in configuring the layout in different browsers. In IE datasets show up in editing mode but they don't in Chrome. The preview site still shows no matter if the editor does or doesn't though so I guess the end result is still the same. May just be a bug.

So when the page loads you want it hidden. Then a user clicks a button and the map appears in the page? Is this the functionality you need? You can hide a div like this. And then you can use a toggle button to show/hide the div like this.

Without the rest of your div and style elements, it's hard to see what's actually going on. I would create a div and make it the size that you want and then with the mapoverview inside it as such:
<div style="width:290px; height:205px; overflow:hidden;">
<div id="overviewMap"></div>
</div>
This will create a div with the pixel size and the map will insert at 100% inside that div. The way you have it above should work the same but browsers are inconsistent some times. Steven

Do you have the LGIM xml document? That is what you need to open, not the LGIM itself. I understand you frustration. Anyways, here is the link to the resource center for the LGIM. In one of the folders you will find the data dictionary. Here is the direct link to the data dictionary. Steven

I would install X-Ray for ArcCatalog extension. This way you can open the XML document and view the data dictionary any time you need.

Another option more along the lines of Dan's response would be to create a model that iterates over a unique value in your polyline layer which then converts each polyline into a polygon. Each polygon would be in it's own feature class and then you could merge them together.

I have never tried ET_GeoWizards tools. There are several free tools in the toolbar and Polyline to Polygon looks to be one of them. It may be worth a shot. Steven

How bad does it hurt performance? I'm thinking about this from an enterprise geodatabase. I put all my data inside feature datasets because its easier to manage permissions for 1 feature dataset rather than 50 feature classes. Maybe this is a topic for another discussion. Is their a best practice document out there for this? Thanks, Steven

If you have a bunch of related shapefiles, you could group them together inside a geodatabase using feature datasets. This way you can better organize your data while storing everything inside 1 geodatabase Steven

Do users that have access to Run Mode have to have an ArcGIS Online account to sign in with since all they are doing is interacting with the map? I didn't see this referenced in the ESRI Maps for SharePoint material. Thanks, Steven
