Hello Eric, The app has both vector-based basemaps and raster based basemaps. The raster ones look pixelated when sync into illustrator. The vector ones will give you the best quality. You can try the VectorStreetMap or NaturalEarth basemap in the compilation panel and see the difference. Thanks, Xingdong

Hi Scott, Vector data snaps to display pixel grid during export. So the issue is related to map export dpi setting. Try to bump up your setting to 300 dpi and see if the results meet your production requirements. You can also export the map in a large scale (increased level of detail) to have better results as you already know. If it is still an issue, we can increase the up limit in the incoming release.

Are your using Windows or Mac? In Windows, the app downloads and saves your maps into your user document folder like "C:/Users/YourUserName/Documents/Adobe/", which doesn't requires an admin permission. Can you try to create folder/file in that directory to see if that works? If you doesn't have any write permission to the folder, you may talk to your system admin to find a solution. The app doesn't have an option for downloading files to a network shared folder.
