That's totally in line with the documentation as well as the federal registrar link we provided. However, and I'm waiting for confirmation: geometry calculations for 'Acres’ vs the US Survey Acres seem to yield a slightly different result, but we are testing further. Can you confirm parity/exact acreage calculation via the same tool and parameters for the data you manage?

We've noticed a slight change in the Calculate Geometry Attributes tool. Here are the area units in the 2.9.x tool reference: Here are the area units in the 3.x tool reference: Questions: Were 'Acres' before 3.x always US Survey Acres? Does this have anything to do with this Federal Registrar Notice? It's also curious this geoprocessing appendix does not exist prior to 3.x.

Experimenting a bit with dynamic text and table attributes which is listed as 'value' in the dynamic text dialog. I see you can use a few options that would limit the resulting return for 'All records', 'Visible records', and 'Custom Query'. The custom query expression uses SQL and would have a default of something like: sql="OBJECTID = 1". You can use the SQL expression builder but unfortunately it does not recognize table names which is unfortunate. A typical dynamic text may look like this: <dyn type="table" property="value" mapFrame="Main Map Frame" mapMemberUri="CIMPATH=location_map/forest_types.json" sql="OBJECTID = 1" arcade="'CLIENT: '+$feature.CLIENT" delimiter=" "/> I'd like to be able to use an SQL statement to return only the first record but not having any luck. SELECT FIRST(column_name) FROM table_name; Is any of this possible?

This might be the most detailed explanation of resource use in AGS I've ever read...this is gold. Copied and saved for reference!

While our use cases are different, we definitely have overlapping concerns, so i proceeded to start another thread for visibility.

Note: This primarily concerns referenced map image layers & imagery layers. With distributed collaboration, you can extend the reach of your GIS content by seamlessly sharing maps, apps, layers, and more with other organizations (emphasis added) I have successfully created a distributed collaboration between our ArcGIS Online organization and our ArcGIS Enterprise site. If I share layers to the workspace they appear in AGO just fine but when attempting to access the services, I'm prompted to log into our Enterprise site. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of a collaboration? Why wouldn't I just manually add content to AGO from URLs from our Enterprise site and just embed/store the credentials in the item?

If so, what on earth is the point in Distributed Collaborations?? @David_BrooksI kid you not I am in the middle of writing a nearly exact post to Geonet in this very same forum right now. You're summarizing all my concerns exactly. After much research (and for various reason) our organization needs to implement a AGO-Enterprise hybrid environment (for our organization only). After creating the collaboration I too discovered that trying to access a referenced service layer from AGO would prompt for our Enterprise authentication as well. Note, this isn't just for HFLs or referenced (eGDB) feature layers; this happens for simple map image layer as well. Now, in our case, we could configure SSO on both sites for our users, but that would mean you'd need to have the user assigned to both AGO & Enterprise (2 licenses for each user). Am I missing something here? Right now I've lost site of what the benefits of the collaboration are if this cannot be resolved. Why wouldn't I just manually add content to AGO from URLs from our Enterprise site and just embed/store the credentials in the item?

@IsmaelChivite ah bummer! We were so excited about this, nearly all our work is done while disconnected, but thanks for letting us know.

Oh! So just leverage a relationship class to get your 1:M relationship and the survey would just populate new records within the related table!? I don't know why I didn't think of this...this is perfect! Thank you!

This feels like possibly turning the intended logic around where you create a point for each survey entry. What about long-term infrastructure. Let's say we have an annual bridge inspection form and then a 3 year inspection form, each have differing questions/requirements. There might possibly be a that stores a URL to the annual survey and another field to the 3 year survey (no fancy calculated expression or anything). Let's also assume that said bridge doesn't have notoriety like 'Best bridge ever!', but there are in fact hundreds of bridges and a simply a numerical identifier. Let's then say we have a regional manager who doesn't know anything about S123 but wants to click on a particular bridge in a web app and see all the past forms associated with it. How might we achieve that? It's possible that we could create some PowerAutomate logic that shunts the outputs of the surveys into a folder, but then there would have to be either a folder for each bridge or some ugly naming convention where the bridge ID is part of the file output name and then the manger has to sort by ID...all less than convenient.
