Bump. I'm surprised Field Maps doesn't support multiple label classes.

Could you cite the source suggesting where Global IDs are not unique?

@ClayDonaldsonSWCA definitely identifies some of the potential outcomes of this... Potential Pandora's box That said You could probably set up a geoprocessing tool exposed as a widget that would let users interactively select some kind of queries to identify either what layers they wanted to see or what a filtered layer they would want to see you to create a one-off web map that's offline enabled. I'm currently working on establishing an automated process for one-off offline enabled webmaps for our organization as well. Fortunately for us, so far, the procedure of requesting a new job/activity allows me to link in the automation of a new custom web map (we obviously don't want to burden users with web map creation). But my suggested solution above warrants great caution, you don't want to end up with the sorcerer's apprentice! From a governance standpoint you would obviously have to have some kind of policy about the lifespan of these things or some kind of feedback loop to let you know that these things aren't needed anymore. Just shooting from the hip here. I think my idea for the he GP service is valid but you'd need to consider consequences of this kinda tool. Maybe evaluating business process/policy is a good first step... Z

I ended up using my old school way of doing this with Word mail merge. Clever! yes, those tools are in Pro. We've found reporting a bit clunky, but it would get the job done. If you are doing this process often could be worth exploring.

so I'd be curious to see screenshots & other details of your attempted implementation It's literally the most vanilla testing. This is not a single label from 2 fields. This is 2 labeling classes, one field for each. I'm testing in a connected/online environment and it's still failing in Field Maps app.

Using AGO & latest version of Field Maps. Field Maps does not honor multiple label classes. Labels are enabled at the HFL level (using Visualization Tab). Modification to the labels within the web map are saved and honored in both Map Viewer and Field Maps mobile app Adding a second label class to the layer within the web map only Map Viewer displays the label class correctly; Field Map mobile app only displays the first label class. Use case: Map Viewer does not support symbolizing by multiple fields in the case of say Type + Status fields/two text fields. [Map Viewer only supports multiple fields in the sense of choose a field, then choose another to define symbology graduation.] Map Viewer does not support Arcade driven symbology based on conditional logic. The workaround here was to create a secondary label class to indicate the status of a point feature while the symbology indicated the 'type' of the feature. Has anyone else tried to use multiple label classes in Field Maps? I cannot find any documentation regarding this.

I don't see why they can't just add a new field at the HFL level, make a join, and yard over the values from th external spreadsheet and then just proceed with developing a Report or the Export Attachments GP tool...but I'm making some interpretations based on what the OP provided.

You should be able to just work with the collected data via the hosted feature layer. I'm not sure what you could base the join on (FID/OID/GUID) but from there you could get the unique ID field you added in the spreadsheet of you can establish the relationship. I Don't quite understand adding the unique ID outside of the HFL but I may be misinterpreting things. From there I believe the new Export Attachments GP Tool (3.3.x) or creating a Report with the photos/attachments would do what you are looking for.

after 6 years it seems pretty clear that Esri isn't interested in solving this.

I thought the June release of Field Maps was going to support multi-source basemaps? I'm a member of the early adopter program and thought I saw it on the roadmap? Perhaps I misread. This is a very important feature. The current vector base maps are generally poor for field navigation in 2 ways: The topographic basemap does not have contours, only a weak hillshade. The topo w/ contours is a multi-source basemap. The second issue is roads are generally white and very hard to see. With the Vector Tile Style Editor, we were able to craft our own custom basemap. However neither this nor even the Esri topo w/ contours are available for offline use. This continues to be another reason why field workers will opt for Avenza over Field Maps despite the overwhelming benefits of data collection in Field Maps. Does anyone have any information on this subject? Thanks.
